Last year, students living on Major Hill Rd. were taken off of the bus driven by Mrs.

Kat Self. Despite riding Mrs. Selfs route for years, we were put on bus 29. Bus 29 is extremely overcrowded and several students near the end of the route are forced to sit three to a seat or even stand up to get to school. It seems like a terrible decision to add yet another road that would contribute to the over-crowdedness of the bus, when Mrs. Selfs route is under-crowded to say the least. Near the end of last year, the Major Hill Rd. bus riders were finally removed from the bus 29 route after the bus administration realized just how over-crowded bus 29 was. We were once again placed on Mrs. Selfs route, and this seemed to be a solution that benefited everyone: bus 29 became less crowded, and the students on Major Hill Rd. got to school on time. This year, history repeated itself when the students on Major Hill Rd. were once again placed on the bus 29 route. This decision is completely irresponsible and makes no sense on the bus administrations part. Once again, bus 29 is as overcrowded as ever, and Mrs. Jean, who drives bus 29, must go out of her way to deliver the Major Hill Rd. riders home. On Mrs. Selfs route, these things were never an issue: Mrs. Selfs route was never over-crowded and Major Hill Rd. was never a problem to get to get to. In fact, Major Hill Rd. WAS part of Mrs. Selfs route for years upon years in the first place. The decision for Major Hill Rd. to be on Mrs. Selfs route just makes sense any way you look at it. There was never a single issue of over-crowdedness on her bus. Administrators realized this when they finally added Major Hill Rd. back to her route late last year. Clearly, the decision to add Major Hill Rd. to bus 29 rather than to Mrs. Selfs route was made out of an incredibly misinformed decision, considering Mrs. Selfs route is as we speak once again under-crowded, while 29 is more over-crowded than it ever was. Although 29 goes through a fewer number of roads on its route, there are a tremendous amount of students on these roads, and the Major Hill Rd. riders shouldnt be added to this mix. Once again, I will say how for years and years Mrs. Selfs bus ran through Major Hill Rd. without any problems, and administrators realized this late in the game last year when the Major Hill Rd. students were finally taken off bus 29. Please resolve to look at this issue carefully. I promise you will realize that it makes much more sense for the students on Major Hill Rd. to ride Mrs. Selfs route.
