Message for Lesson No. 20

Start Understanding Qur’an – The Easy Way (Short Course).

Dear Brothers/Sisters!

While talking about His beloved slaves, Allah says that they do not take the Qur’anic
verses like a ‘deaf’ and ‘blind’ person [Reference 20:73].

Make sure to understand the verses and take them to heart while you listen or read. So
many of us read these verses like a ‘blind’ person, i.e., they read with their eyes but don’t
understand them. They listen to them like a ‘deaf’ person! Years pass by and they remain
the same! That is even worse!

If we fail to plan to spend time for understanding Qur’an, we plan to remain, in a sense,
‘deaf’ and ‘blind’ for the rest of our lives! How can we respond to the verses if we don’t
understand them. Won’t we like to be one of those beloved slaves to Allah?

Please plan to spend 200 hours as soon as possible in which you can learn to understand
the complete Qur’an.

Please send your suggestions, comments, or feedback at webmaster@understandquran.com.

IN THIS LESSON, YOU WILL LEARN THE FOLLOWING:

Supplications: Before and after eating.

IN GRAMMAR: Apply the fa’ala table on two verbs (Type-d): ‘amila (he worked, acted, did); and
rahima (He was merciful; He bestowed mercy).

Motivational TIP: Let us plan to remove ‘deafness’ and ‘blindness’ as soon as possible.

May Allah give us Tawfeeq to fulfill all the rights of the Qur’an.

GRAMMAR: Practice the following 21 forms of

(1d) and (1d); (   : he acted, he did, he worked;
: He was merciful; He bestowed mercy).
َْ ْ‫أ‬ ‫

Note that this verb type is 1d, َ ِ
َ ‫ َب‬. Here again, the small difference is that instead of ...‫ َ ُ ا‬ َ in the past
َ ،َ َ
tense, we have ...‫ ِ ُ ا‬ َ (i.e,, in the past tense forms we have ‘i’ sound on the 2nd root letter instead of ‘a’ sound).
َ ،َِ
518 318
Note similar small changes in the imperative forms too. Repeat the 21 forms of the verb ِ َ and َ ِ
َ as shown
above.
