Child Survival Project Manager ChildFund Honduras Dr. Luis Miguel Amendola Galeano is the Child Survival Project Manager , ChildFund Honduras. He has experience in Communicable Disease Epidemiology and Diseases, Organization and Operation of Public Health Services, Management of Maternal and Child Health Programs. He has 25 years experience in national and international cooperation for public health. In the immediate past, he has worked for for Maternal and Child Health Programs, Reproductive Health, proposal development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of strategies and activities for primary health care and government services at the community level. He was the Project Manager, Maternal and Child Health Project, implemented by the Canadian Red Cross (CRC). Dr. Amendola Galeano is the National Coordinator of Neonatal Sepsis Initiative in Honduras to facilitate training processes, provide education and support quality improvement measures, and collect data for indicators of Neonatal Sepsis Initiative in Honduras - USAID, Ministry of Health, BASICS and NGOs. He is a National Communicable Disease Consultant for WHO - PAHO Honduras to support and counseling programs: IMCI, EPI, Epidemiological Surveillance, Malaria, Dengue, Zoonoses Control Diabetes and Snuff. FHe is also the focal point for hospital-based surveillance for rotavirus in children under 5 years in Honduras as pre introduction of the vaccine.
