CBSE has announced, the First Joint Entrance Exam for the Engineering Courses (IITs, NITs, CFTIs and ISM Dhanbad). Qualifying Examination The +2 level examinations in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, and Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi. Admission Criteria Admission to NITs and IITs will be based on two major criteria such as 40% weightage for Class XII Board Performance in Final Examination. 60% Weightage will be given to JEE (Main) Examination and a Combined All India Rank (AIR) would be decided accordingly. The Same policy will be adopted by Centrally Funded Technical Institutions, and other participating Institutions Pattern of Examination Subjects Paper-1 Maths, Physics, Chemistry Type of Questions Duration Objective type with equal Weightage to MPC 3 Hrs

Maths- Part-1 Paper-2 Aptitude Test-Part-2 Drawing Test-Part-3 COURSE B.E/B.TECH B.ARCH/B. PLANNING Scoring and Negative Marking There will be objective type questions with four options having single correct answer. For each incorrect response, one fourth (1/4) of the total marks allotted to the question would be deducted. No marks will be deducted for not attending the answers. Eligibility Criteria for JEE-Advanced Only the top 1, 50,000 Candidates (including all categories) based on performance in JEE Main will qualify to appear in the JEE-Advanced Examination. Provided these candidates should be from the top 20% categories of their respective Class XII Board. The percentage will vary year to year and across the boards. PAPERS Paper 1 Paper 2 Objective type Questions 3Hrs
