Ideal end of class/term activity For groups of 4-6 popular with teenagers Move around the class to monitor language and vocabulary used Revise useful vocabulary with lower level classes For higher level classes, dont prepare the vocabulary.

Gender: Male/Female Age: Young/old/middle aged Occupation: famous/actor/actress/singer/politician/film character/cartoon character/ fictional character/sportsperson/athlete/historical figure/writer/musician Hair colour: dark hair/blond hair/long hair/short hair/curly hair/dyed hair Skin colour: pale skinned/ dark skinned Size: tall/short/ fat/thin/medium height/ Nationality: American/British/Jamaican/English He/she is famous for.. We usually see this person at/in/on : the television/the cinema/comics trips/films books

What am I describing an object:


You can modify this game to practise other vocabulary /irregular verbs/aderbs/adjectives etc. Good for practising comparatives Size: pocket size/bib- bigger then/small smaller than Weight: light/heavy Material: made of wood/paper/glass/metal Is used for: communicating/transporting/travelling etc It is electrical/ needs batteries/mechanical

Typical questions he/she can ask:


Am I a man? Am I a politician? Can you see me on TV? Do I have blond hair Do I have dark skin Am I still alive?

Fill in the grids with personalities/people both familiar and unfamiliar to you class Cut out the personality cards Take some cello tape (3cm rolled over) to stick a personality card onto the students forehead The student mustnt se who is written on the paper his team mates can see who he/she is Each student asks, one at a time, Who am I? asking questions about their physical appearance/job etc. The rest of the group answers yes or no to the speakers questions until he guesses his identity. If he/she cant guess the person he/she keeps the card in front of him and passes his turn. The student with the least cards in front of him/her at the end of the game wins.
