Councilmember, Tom LaBonge, of the 4th District, has chosen to recognize this achievement in preserving and promoting the historic nature of this area, by funding National Register street signs for Boulevard Heights. Individual residents on Bronson will also be able to purchase a plaque for the exterior of their homes, commemorating the National Register designation. Congratulations, Boulevard Heights!

If so, then you are eligible to apply to participate in the Mills Act Historical Property Contract Program, which can, for many property owners, result in significant property tax savings. The Mills Act application is now available at www.preservation.lacity.org Applications are due by 4:00 P.M. at the OHR on May 23rd. The Mills Act is the Citys primary financial incentive for owners of historic properties. It offers a voluntary contract between a property owner and the City of Los Angeles that can help support ongoing rehabilitation needs. Baked zucchini and cheese recipe
Ingredients: Zucchini Sliced Tomatoes Mozzarella Cheese/Parmesan Cheese or a mix of both Olive Oil Basil Garlic or Garlic Powder Salt Pepper Directions: 1.Pre-heat oven to 375 2.Slice zucchini in half. Slice off bottom to keep stable. 3.Brush with olive oil 4.Top with garlic or garlic powder 5.Top with sliced tomatoes, salt and pepper to taste. 6.Use mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese or mixed blend. 7.Sprinkle with basil. 8.Bake for 20-30 minutes until soft. Enjoy this yummy and healthy treat!
