Dragobete is a romanian holiday celebrated on 24 February, or in other places on 28 February, 1 March, 3 March or 25 March.

The holiday Dragobete is considered as the equivalent of Valentine"s Day. The traditions of Dragobete are keept especially in South and South-East of Romania. The legend of Dragobete The legend says that Dragobete, the Dochia"s son, was the God of Love and the Good Mood. He was also named as Spring Head or Summer Head and considered as Cupidon, the God of Love in the Romanian Myth or as Eros, the Cupidon"s correspondent in the Greek mythology.
