Welcome to our St. Julians Summer School 2013

After one years break, we are back to carry on with our tradition of providing summer activities for the holidays. Aps um ano de pausa, estamos de volta para continuar com a nossa tradio de oferecer actividades para as frias de Vero. Our Summer School team have been preparing their programs of activities and trips appropriate to the students ages and linked to our topic Around the World in 15 Days. Our aim is to provide a programme, delivered in English, which will enhance the intellectual physical and emotional development of your children, within a relaxed and friendly holiday atmosphere. A nossa equipa do Summer School tem vindo a preparar os seus programas de atividades e passeios adequados s idades dos alunos e ligados ao nosso tema "Volta ao Mundo em 15 Dias". O nosso objectivo oferecer um programa, em Ingls de forma a melhorar o desenvolvimento intelectual, fsico e emocional dos seus filhos, dentro de uma atmosfera de frias descontrada e amigvel. Among the activities planned are: organized trips to exciting places (Kidzania, Oceanrio, etc), Surfing, Nature trails, Pool and Beach Trips, Survival skills, Arts and Crafts, Cooking, Computer lessons, Music, Sports, Archery, canoeing and lots more! As atividades previstas so: excurses para lugares interessantes (Kidzania, Oceanrio, etc), Surf, circuitos pedestres, piscina e passeios praia, tcnicas de sobrevivncia, artes e trabalhos manuais, culinria, aulas de informtica, msica, desporto, arco e flecha, canoagem e muita mais!

Focus on English: All activities will be delivered in English to encourage and develop the childrens understanding of the English Language. Foco na Lngua Inglesa: Todas as actividades sero em Ingls para incentivar e desenvolver a compreenso das crianas do Idioma Ingls. St. Julians Summer School will run from 9am until 4pm and welcomes children aged 3 to 14 years old, from all Schools and all countries and at all levels of English. On the afternoon of the 19h of July, Summer School will host a farewell celebration party, with a special show by the children, where they will have the opportunity to put into practice and perform what they have learnt during the 3 weeks. Inside this brochure you will meet our Group Leaders and see further details about our exciting program. Fully inclusive in our Summer School fee are all activities, trips, insurance and a healthy and balanced daily hot meal or a packed picnic lunch. Payment Pagamento: Payments must be made in FULL with enrolment and can be made by cash, cheque, Multibanco, or bank transfer. Emocionantes actividades de vero em ingls para todas as crianas entre os 3 e os 14 anos. Our three week summer program is packed full of fun and adventure. O nosso programa de trs semanas est cheio de diverso e aventura. Our aim is to provide a program that will stimulate the all-round development of the children,(intellectual, physical, social and emotional) in a relaxed and happy holiday atmosphere. Using a topic-based program we structure the activities according to the childrens age. We give special attention to language development in order to extend the childrens understanding of English and to encourage them to speak English using correct vocabulary and phrases. Nosso objectivo oferecer um programa que vai estimular o desenvolvimento integral das crianas, (intelectual, fsico, social e emocional) numa atmosfera de frias, relaxada e feliz. Ao fazer um programa baseado num tpico, permite-nos estruturar as actividades de acordo com as diferentes idades das crianas. Damos especial ateno ao desenvolvimento da lngua a fim de ampliar e incentivar a compreenso e o correcto uso da lngua Inglesa.

OUR THEME Around the world in 15 days

O nosso tema Volta ao Mundo em 15 dias

We will be learning about different countries around the world. During the rst week we will be concentrating on various countri es in America, the following week, we will look at Europe and at our nal week we will research various countries in Asia. As part of the theme, the children will learn about the different cultures and traditions. The children will also have the opportunity to take part in various daily workshops. On the last day of Summer School there will be a grand party for both children and parents. Iremos aprender sobre as diferentes culturas e tradies dos diferentes pases, ao redor do mundo durante a primeira semana, vamos concentrar-nos em vrios pases da Amrica, na semana seguinte, vamos olhar para a Europa e na ltima semana, iremos pesquisar vrios pases na sia. As crianas tambm tero a oportunidade de participar em vrios workshops dirios. No ltimo dia do Summer School, haver uma grande festa para todas as crianas e pais.

OLD FAVOURITES AND NEW VENTURES Antigos Favoritos e novas aventuras

Trips to the beach, swimming pools, sports, arts and crafts and cooking activities are all parts of the St Julians Summer School Adventure. Also included this year are nature trails and obstacle courses through the woods, in the school grounds and paddling pools on site. Viagens para a praia, piscina, desporto, artes e trabalhos manuais, actividades de culinria fazem todas parte desta aventura. Este ano tambm esto includos circuitos pedestres e gincanas por entre os bosques, no terreno da escola e piscinas infantis no local.

The younger children explore similar experiences within their own environment using the appropriate vocabulary. They develop awareness of themselves, their bodies and the skills that they can accomplish. Activities will include Adventure Trails, Cooking, Dancing, Games, Sports, Arts and Crafts at more advanced levels and a dedicated daily language activity are included for the older age groups. I have worked at St. Julians School for 11 years and been part of Summer School for the past 6 years. I also run creative workshops for children during the school holidays, therefore have a lot of experience in working with children and know what they enjoy!
