Review on NYEF Program "Nation First"

Introduction on NYEF
Nepalese Young Entrepreneurs' Forum (NYEF) is a membership based non-profit organization, established with an aim of creating outstanding entrepreneurs through idea exchange, fellowships, education, training and advocacy among the Nepali youth. The forum was officially instituted by the Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FNCCI) in September 26, 2003. NYEF is also one of the founding members of the SAARC Young Entrepreneurs Forum (SYEF), Association of Youth Organization Nepal (AYON) and the World Young Entrepreneurs Forum (WYEF) and a member of the Confederation of Asia Pacific Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CACCI) Committee on Youth Entrepreneurship. NYEF brings together young entrepreneurs within the country. It promotes entrepreneurial mindset and a shared vision through an effective and much needed networking of young entrepreneurs. After a successful start at Kathmandu, it is also in Biratnagar, Pokhara & Birgunj. The forum has worked constantly to help its members to build upon their successes through array of learning and networking opportunities. NYEF has been conducting various national and international level workshops and trainings to enhance young entrepreneurs knowledge and experience to enable them to gain better insight about relevant issues that effects business arena. Besides organizing workshops and capacity building programs, NYEF is also actively involved in various projects to develop youth into leaders and entrepreneurs. Different Views of Speakers in NYEF Program Mr. Anil Chitrakar who is a social entrepreneur said that present is the gift of past and
future will be the result of present activities. He stressed on business possibilities in Nepal despite the present condition is not stable of the country.

Mr. Shishir Khanal from Teach for Nepal stressed on the importance of education to children especially in the rural sector because educated people can carry out entrepreneurial activities and can contribute in national development.

Mr. Suraj Vaidya , The President of FNCCI, stressed on change management and tapping the business advantage of two business giants countries India and China.

Mr. Birendra Bahadur Basnet who is the founder and chairman of Buddha Air stressed on three important points for any business house: Identify USB of business. Any organization should have motive "Employees Comes First" Tax payment transparency and to pay loan fast should be taken care of.

Lessons Learnt
To be a part of NYEF Annual General Meeting was itself a great experience. Environment of NYEF is motivational for anyone who is part of it. Every minute was a learning experience for us in NYEF. Important lessons that we learnt from program was: Importance of delivery of information according to the event. Nation development is possible when change come from us. To realize that if there is a problem there is an opportunity. To be successful entrepreneur calculative risk has to be taken. To focus on present as past and future are not under our control. "Employees comes first" should be the motto for any organization to succeed.

Nepal peace symbol and logo of NYEF is motivating for anyone as it says "Nepali Ko Chahana, Shanti Ko Sthaphana".
