Application Note 3 Spectra Display & Keypad

Introduction

Spectra LED Driver is an Intelligent LED Driver Designed for Color Mixing Applications. This Application Note (AN3 Spectra Display & Keypad) provides technical information for the Display & Keypad Interface use. Spectra LED Driver can work with a Display user interface that can be used for the products set up and programming. The LED Driver adopts the standard DMX512A/RDM (see the AN4 Spectra DMX Communication). This document describes how to manage the Spectra LED Driver functions, by using the Display User Interface.

Display & keypad

The Display Board & keypad (RHPS218) and the Display cable RHSM000229 are available as optional with the Spectra Models RSPT190-OPEN or RSPT190-BWOD and can be ordered apart, as explained in the Spectra Datasheet, Option Section. The RSPT190-BWD Spectra Model is equipped with the Display Board & keypad (RHPS218), see Fig.1.

Figure 1: Display Board & keypad

Application Note 3 Spectra Display & Keypad

The user interface showed in Fig. 1 gives a fast and friendly setting approach to all the SPECTRA functions. All the menu settings are manageable by the following three push buttons:

Menu items UP scrolling.

Menu items DOWN scrolling.

Menu item selection and modification saving.

A 2x16 characters LCD display shows the day time and menu items, see Fig.2.
