Academic Requirements 1) For applicants with 'A Levels/IB/NUSHS/Poly Diploma: by yvette tan - Excellent GCE A Level (minimum 11 units) - International Baccalaureate (at least 39 points) - NUS High School Diploma (at least 3.60 CAP and merit) for Science and Mathematics subjects - A Diploma with Merit 2) For NTU/NUS Year 2-4 undergraduates : - Top undergraduates in Biomedical Science, Physical Sciences, Engineering or Computing at NTU or NUS - Candidates must be on track to attain at least a good 2nd Class Upper Honours or equivalent Other Requirements: 1) Demonstrated passion for science and research. 2) Singaporeans only.
Bond Duration
Nil. AUS scholars are required to embark on a PhD programme in Science or Engineering disciplines after the completion of their undergraduate studies. AUS scholars may apply for A*STAR PhD scholarships or other scholarships in their final year of undergraduate studies.
Support for up to 8 years including undergraduate and PhD studies, subject to satisfactory completion of undergraduate studies and a one year research attachment at an A*STAR Research Institute. Candidates must meet requirements of NSS(BS), and demonstrate a strong interest in both research and clinical studies. Outstanding final year medical students or MBBS graduates from the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine or NTU Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine who demonstrate a strong interest in pursuing a clinicianscientist career are also welcome to apply for PhD support. The Scholarship gives you the flexibility to choose to study either a local or an overseas course. You will receive full sponsorship for a local course.
