This national park has a vast area of 7505.22 square kilometers, with sun baked mud flats, saline wetlands and green vegetation. Each year thousands of tourists visit the Kutch Desert wildlife sanctuary. This wildlife sanctuary of Gujarat houses some of the rare species of wild animals like striped hyena, porcupine, fox, small Indian civet, Indian pangolin and a large number of reptiles. The sanctuary has some attractions like spiny-tailed lizards, with their typical hide and run activity are found in this sanctuary also Chinkara fox, hyena and Nilgai are also found in abundance in this sanctuary. Kutch Desert wildlife sanctuary is popular in the Gujarat state and is one of the most tourists visiting wildlife sanctuary in the Gujarat wildlife tourism. Gir Wildlife Sanctuary and National Park: The Gir Wildlife Sanctuary and National Park is a forest and wildlife sanctuary with an area of 1412 km in Gujarat and is one of the famous wildlife sanctuaries and most tourists visited one in the Gujarat wildlife tourism. This national park has a topography made up of succession of rugged ridges, isolated hills, valleys and mountains. The Gir National park has huge wildlife resources with about 38 species of mammals, birds of about 300 species, 37 species of reptiles and more than 2000 species of insects. Gir national park is the only national park where tourists can spot some unique species of rusty spotted cat, Pangolin, Ratel, civets and the rare race of lions called Asiatic lion. Blackbuck National Park: Blackbuck national park at Gujarat also popularly known as Velavadar Black Buck Sanctuary with an area of 34.08 km which inhabits over 187 species of birds including residents and migratory birds such as Harrier, Partridge, Pelican, Duck and many more. The population of the park mainly includes Blackbucks, Wolves, with foxes, jackals and jungle cats and many other carnivores species. The best time to visit this national park is from December to March as many species of, migratory birds arrive to spend winter. This park also offers bungalow operated by the Government forest Department where a stay can be arranged for tourists by prior booking. Blackbuck national park is also one of the wildlife parks which are frequently visited by tourists. Marine National Park: Marine national park is situated in the southern shore of the Gulf of Kuch in the state of Gujarat with an area of 270 km with a great diversity of habitats ranging from coral reefs, mangroves, mudflats, creeks, estuaries, sandy strands to saline grasslands, marshy areas and rocky shores. Though it is a marine park, the tours vary in the number of days as well as the places that may be visited. Here you can also visit beaches along the coast, such as Narara, 110 km from Jamnagar. This national park also plays an important role in attracting lots of tourists each year and is an important part of Gujarat wildlife tourism. Vansda National Park: Vansda national park covers an area of 24 sq.km in Gujarat and this park is extremely dense and has a wide variety of flora and fauna. The park is mostly covered by dense forest mainly moist deciduous and dry deciduous with bamboos, tall teak trees, and gigantic creepers. This national park is a habitat to Leopards, python, four-horned antelope, pangolin, rusty-spotted cats, Jungle Cat, Civets, Mongooses, Macaques and for many more wild species. Here the tourists can also enjoy beautiful varieties of bird species of more than 115. The best time to visit this national park is from October to May. The Vansda national park is famous among the tourists and has created a role in the Gujarat wildlife tourism.
