Design Objectives

Design a structurally adequate foundation that supports building loads for the obtained site Incorporate a geothermal system within each foundation alternative that harnesses ground energy for use by the structures heating and cooling systems

Develop a weighting method to determine the optimal design alternative considering the triple bottom line

Scope of Work

Design at least three (3) foundation alternatives that satisfy requirements for the dissipation of structural loads with appropriate safety factors Design a geothermal energy system for each design alternative that can be contained within the foundation Recommend an alternative using a weighted triple bottom line approach

Complete progress reports and presentations to update client through project timeline, culminating with a final report following the completion of the above scope of work
