Correlations and Analysis:

Out of the hundred people who we surveyed, we tried to get an even number of participants of both sexes. At the last count, we got forty-four men and fifty-six women to take the survey. These do not include the number of people that took the survey online prior to these particular surveys. The results from the aforementioned online surveys were used to get preliminary data and form an inconclusive summary, or prediction, so to speak, of what the real results would bring us. The following includes only information from the mens answers to the survey and are to be used solely to be compared to the womens, not to be taken into account my themselves. In our study, we could observe that men were more likely to judge themselves fairly in base of their skin color. In contrast, women were more likely to just judge themselves as average skin tone instead of choosing either a very dark or very pale skin color. But in retrospect, men might just be more auto-critical and honest with themselves. Out of the forty-four men, forty-one of them were between the ages of 15 and 38. These are considered to be young people and the most easily influenced by the media. They regularly do not have such old-fashioned parents that are there for every life decision, and so they are much more likely to take their values from TV and/or the radio outlets. 35% of men watch 0 hours of TV all day. We found that one of the men that we surveyed watched 6 or more hours of TV per day. This number drastically changed when we took a look at how many people listened to the radio everyday. We hypothesize that the people that dont listen to the radio must have their own MP3 player or maybe they prefer the silence. Either way, we found that 31 out of 44 men listened to 0 hours of radio on a daily basis. That comes out to approximately 70 % of men. In this study, we saw that the numbers between men who watched the news and men who watched sports was pretty even (a mere 19 to 17.) Predictably, almost no men watched either telenovelas or musical programs (including the programs that pass music videos and things of that nature.) We found that most men prefer romantic or pop music, and an even amount (10 and 10) listened to ranchera or grupera.

In both of these graphics, we can see a higher tendency to place the better qualities on the whitest person. Sometimes the difference is subtle (like who is more responsible) but sometimes the difference is quite obvious (like who is poor.)
