I have gathered the following univer sal symbols for you to study, and hopefully drawn your own conclusions as to the ir meanings. I say draw your own conclusion because just like everything else in t he Craft, symbol meanings are very personal. They could mean one thing to me, bu t something totally different to you. The following symbols are very vague, but they are a good starting point for you to find a deeper meaning. These symbols can be used to interpret all sorts of divination techniques such a s tea leaf reading, mirror/crystal scrying, cloud/fire gazing, dreams meanings, etc.. You could even go on a nature walk with a particular question in mind, and try to find the answer within nature itself. B Basket: a gift to be given or received, comfort and security. Bell: good news, wedding possible. Bird: good or bad news depending upon other symbols, a flight/ possible journey. F Fan: disloyalty, infidelity, things hidden. Fence: defense, isolation. Fish: riches, sexuality, productivity. Flag: warning, defense is necessary. Flower: an unhappy love affair.

L Ladder: advancement, rise or fall in status. Lock: protection, security, concealments.

M Man: a stranger, a visitor, help from someone unexpected. Mirror: reversal, wisdom, seeing the other side of things. Moon: the Goddess, intuition, guidance.
