Comprehensive Development Framework http://www.worldbank.org/cdf/ This website serves as a tool for sharing information and ideas related to the Comprehensive Development Framework (CDF). Development Forum http://www.worldbank.org/devforum/ The Development Forum is an electronic venue for dialogue and knowledge-sharing among members of the development community. Its focal point is an ongoing and expanding series of electronic Development Dialogues on key issues and challenges facing the development community and the world's poor, with a particular emphasis on learning from the experience of those who face these challenges in their daily lives. It offers an overview of recent work to incorporate more inclusive strategies in the Bank's planning and lending activities, as well as in the government's own decision-making processes. It is intended only to be suggestive and to be selectively used as a resource to provide information about possible approaches. It reflects the thinking and practices associated with the Comprehensive Development Framework, as well as lessons emerging from the forthcoming World Development Report on Poverty, and good international practices related to poverty reduction. PovertyNet http://www.worldbank.org/poverty/strategies/index.htm This web site contains an overview of the poverty reduction strategy framework, regular updates, and key documents. Online Sourcebook on Decentralization and Local Development http://www.ciesin.org/decentralization/ The Sourcebook provides general information, program design, case studies, and tools for practitioners involved in decentralization. Project collaborators include the World Bank Community Based Rural Development Thematic Group, UNDP, FAO, GTZ, SDC (Swiss Agency for Development Cooperation).

Communal Areas Management Programme for Indigenous Resources (CAMPFIRE) http://campfirezimbabwe.org/ CAMPFIRE is an exploration of rural development and conservation in Africa. It seeks to restructure the control of Zimbabwe's countryside, giving people alternative ways of using their natural resources. CAMPFIRE, designed and managed entirely by Africans, emerged in the mid-1980's with the recognition that as long as wildlife remained the property of the state no one would invest in it as a resource. Communities Online http://www.communities.org.uk/ukco/ UK based site, initiated by International Association for Community Networking and Partnerships for Tomorrow, as an independent partnership to promote the use of the Internet and new information technology in community building. Partly funded by UK Government's IT Partnership Initiative, 'IT For All'. Main activity is the Communities Online Forum, a site which includes mailing lists, news, articles, reports and full text items covering local, national and international community networking initiatives. Forests, Trees and People Programme and Network (FTP / FTPP), FAO / SLU http://www.fao.org/forestry/FON/FONP/cfu/cfu-e.stm Network aiming to share information about improving community forestry activities. Managed by the FAO Community Forestry Unit and the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU). Discussion list on participatory approaches sponsored by USAID's Participation Initiative. Its function is to facilitate "the cooperative development and application of social research methods that accomplish both appropriate social change and the generation of new social knowledge for the benefit of all participants.
