Pupil Premium and Olympic Legacy Information

We offer a selection of complementary education programmes for ages 8 to 18, based on a variety of personal, social and health education topics. Theseareoffered at competitive rates to suit all budgetsand needs. In 2011, the Coalition Government introduced the Pupil Premium for schools to provide additional support, for looked after children and those from low income backgrounds. Arecent Ofsted report suggests that many schools are failing to spend the Pupil Premium on interventions that are having any meaningful impact. (Ofsted, The Pupil Premium -How schools are spending the funding successfully to maximise achievement, 2013) Our programmes can help achieve this meaningful impact by meeting the tailored needs of your pupils. This may be achieved by using our Active Transitions Programme which focuses on Year 6 pupils and the oftendifficult transition from primary to secondary education or short targeted interventions to tackle aspecific topic or issue. The majority or programmes can be accredited to provide measurable outcomes, ifneeded. In relation to a recent announcement by David Cameron, in a bid to continue the Olympic Legacy and interest in sporting activity and achievement, we can also offer a variety of fully staffed sports activities and/or after school clubs to meet your schools needs. Cameron announced that 150m of funding has been made available for primary schools to deliver sports activities/after school clubs (approx. 9000 per school). This is Ring-fenced funding only to be spent on sport and will go directlyinto the hands of heads and teachers who will decide what is best for their childrens needs.
