SATURDAY

People of Tomorrowland,
Lets be honest for a moment whether youve been to Tomorrowland before or not, were you ready for this? Because we certainly werent. We could give you the numbers: tens of thousands of people, 15 stages, and so on. Yet the actual practice is so much better, isnt it? To feel the bass surging through your bones, to be amidst so many like-minded people, to see the mainstage explode into a flurry of mythical creatures, flames, steam, smoke and colours A day like yesterday is something no amount of experience will prepare you

WE ARE MAKING HISTORY!

The moment weve all been waiting for has arrived, living up to every possible expectation. Magical Friday!
for. And make no mistake that goes for the artists just as well. Pushed to great heights by the sun, the stages, and your enthusiastic smiles, each and every one of them gave their very best. From Dimitri Vegas & Like Mikes block-busting barrage of house to KOAN Sounds intimate display of the cutting edge of broken bass, the interaction between you and the DJs was a sight to behold. Magic. Now are you ready to do the incredible again today?

Remember when we said you can make your every wish come true? That counts for the music as well. Seriously, this weekends got it all.
Man oh man! Were amazed ourselves at whats in store for you today! Super-duper trance? Flabbergasting electro with a pinch of fidget house? Ramblin and rollin drum & bass? Techno-tronic, psytrancesonic, minimal, maximal, nu skool, old skool and beyond. Get Intense with Armin van Buuren, jump your ass off with the amazing Bonzai All Stars, have a super deluxe threesome of the finest and purest house music with Derrick Carter vs Mark Farina vs Sneak and get inside the Cocoon alongside the absolute king of techno madness: Sven Vth.Avicii is playing peaktime tonight, and the Swedish golden boy has proven himself to be a high-class act during this years European festival season. By the time hes inevitably winding up his set with Levels, youll all be exploding in fits of unrestrained joy!

Everybody wants heaven... I know But darling freedom aint free, its a long road Youll never find your place up there in the sky... If you never say goodbye
Hardwell & Dyro feat. Bright Lights - Never say goodbye

Dawn of a New Day

Hello again. Welcome back. Yesterday, youve gotten to know the lay of the land. Today, it is time to roam free.

Let us tell you whats about to happen. You know the Dreamville drill by now. It should be no problem to get up and out of the misty shrouds of sleep. Youve probably made new friends, maybe even spent the night in a tent not your own, but no matter. You must return as quickly as you can, back towards the place where life arises and dreams come true. And so you disappear down the Main Avenue again. This day, however, is unlike yesterday. You know where to go now, as well as how to get there. You will make your own choices, and with them write your

own story. It will not take much, as the dcor is already there. Your task is only to decide will you go to V-Sessions, where flowering gardens blanket a floating stage? Or is the newly-discovered species of organ butterfly, towering above the Super You&Me stage higher than many a cathedral, your favourite? There are plenty of options left. Perhaps your friends would like to join you at Ferry Corstens Full On podium, which reveals a world of eerily beautiful, bluish moths upon entry. And if you have the heart for it, try to do battle with Q-dances

scorpion, a behemoth the likes of which Tomorrowland has never seen. It will be hard, but we know you can beat the beast in the end. This is your story, after all, and you are its hero. As you can see, there is no limit to what you can achieve when you put your back into it. And even though we know you will prevail, our ability to foretell your path is dwindling. For in this moment you arise your tale becomes your own. Make sure to enjoy it. The memory will last you a lifetime.

SATURDAY

JULY 27TH 2013

Good Morning

Someone took a dump in the shower next to mine. Seriously! A sh*t! Mara from Arnhem tells us, while walking back to her tent in nothing more than a towel.

Tom (20) looks like he fell asleep in front of his tent, but hes been awake for several hours now. Drinking whiskey-cola. Because he can. Ideal on a empty stomach. Sure Tom, sure.

elixir of life
After 9 years of aging, the secret is ready to be unveiled. The first Tomorrowland Rum, The Elixir of Life, has arrived at Tomorrowland. It has been aging in Bacardis hidden cellars, somewhere in Puerto Rico, since the first edition of our festival in 2004. Now, it is almost ready to celebrate Tomorrowlands 10th anniversary next year but some people are going to be lucky enough to taste it already. Do you want to win one of only three hand-crafted bottles in existence? Then pimp your tent as much as you can. Go mad. Use your

imagination and make it look as awesome as one of the stages. Take a clear picture of it and send that to today@tomorrowland.com before 2PM. Make sure to put Tomorrowland Elixir of Life as the subject, and tell us your name, phone number and the spot where we can find you at Dreamville. Each day, the winner will receive an email and SMS with more info, so keep an eye on your phone!

WelCOME TO THE VILLAGE OF DREAMS

Its the craziest canvas town in the world
Good morning! Rise and shine you crazy campers! Did you get a good night of sleep? Or did you stay up all night chatting with the people nexttentflap? Whatever you did, were sure it was awesome! Friday gave us so much to enjoy, from Carl Cox to Tisto, that were wondering how on earth todays going to be. In the meantime, a lot of stuff is happening on other parts of Tomorrowland. Yesterday morning we took a stroll at Dreamville again, to spy on you a little while you still sleeping. And boy, did you look good waking up!

IM 18 AND I DO WHAT I WANT!. Thats the slogan Tilly (18) and her friends live by this weekend. I turned 18 a month ago and got a ticket from my parents! Party on Tilly!

The picture says it all: Mark managed to make it back to his doghouse. Dont worry, hes alive and kicking. Well, maybe not kicking. But alive? Yes. We poked him with a stick to check.

PAX MEDIA
Kings of the dixies. Emperors of the toilets. Rulers of toilet paper! All weekend long, Thomas (20) & Ruben (19) take care of you when youre in need of a toilet. Its a dirty job, but someone has to do it!

HOTSPOTS OF DREAMVILLE
Tomorrowland is all about loving one another as we all know. Shaquille (18) and his friends experienced this first hand after The Gathering. We were playing drinking games with some pretty English ladies. Somehow I ended up sharing a tent with one of them. His friends laugh and pat him on the shoulder. But I wasnt the only one who found some love tonight! Some weird looking fellow had the hots for our friend Alain. He even walked us to the tent uninvited! In the background Perla (19) and Nina (19) roll their eyes at the brave stories the guys are telling. Boys will be boys. A moment ago they were whining about the rain!

Dreamville Radio featuring in Tomorrowland Today? Oh wait! Tomorrowland Today was also featured on Dreamville Radio! Check it out one of our reporters was put behind the mic of Dreamville Radio to talk about what its like to make such a fine looking newspaper for such an extremely fine festival. From newspaper to radio to newspaper, this looks like a pax media for sure!

GO GAGA WITH DREAMVILLE RADIO

Just like the last few years, there is a team of radio loving youngsters lined up for you. Their sole mission is to provide you the best electro tunes and dance classics as well as the latest updates on both the local and worldwide news, traffic and various reports on the festival and its amazing visitors. Both day and night! You can listen to Dreamville Radio - powered by Studio Brussel - throughout the weekend at 87.6 FM. Plus: DJs like Leroy & Tibson, Leesa and Raving George will come by to play a super deluxe late night DJ-set. Tune in and go nuts! Lorenzo Van Loon is supervising the young, talented and strapping team of Dreamville Radio. But where did the idea of a camping radio come from? Lorenzo: It is actually the third time that we are represented at Tomorrowland with Dreamville Radio. We started out in 2011 on a very small scale basis after the producers of Dreamville asked us to come up with an idea for camping radio. Before we started doing this, there just wasnt any other festival providing customized on site camping radio. In Holland you had 3FM covering Lowlands and in the UK festivals like Glastonbury also had their own broadcasting. Of course Tomorrowland couldnt stay behind. For Studio Brussel it seemed like the perfect opportunity to give our youngsters a chance, to throw them in so they get totally immersed in the full-on radio experience. Are these youngsters the same aspiring talents that take part in The Wild Bunch on Studio Brussel? Sort of. Theres definitely a link between these two projects. The first year we made up our team out of a search for talent, and those people eventually became a part of The Wild Bunch. We gave that group the opportunity to experiment with their own radio making during the night broadcast on Studio Brussel. Some of them are now actually part of the Studio Brussel team, so we have a bit of a correlation between the two. Weve got some unrevealed talent behind our mic, and also some radio-DJs that people might already know as part of The Wild Bunch. Dreamville Radio is a great place to see all this talent live up to the moment. Whats the difference between camping radio and regular radio? Its very clear: a real studio is much safer to be in. Youre more in control of everything, youve got the time to prepare things, to do a little pre-talk with your interviewees, the setlist is made up before the broadcast whereas Dreamville Radio is crazy shit! You never know what is going to happen. But its exactly that spontaneity that makes this all so exciting. For example: on Thursdaywe invited the DJs that played at The Gathering to come over for an interview, but some of them got lost on the way to our studio. Panic? Not at all, we just turn our whole schedule around, use our creative masterminds and most of the time those unexpected events provide for some things that are even more awesome.

LOVE TOMORROW
Suddenly, yellow (or green) shirts everywhere! These fanatics from Switzerland printed their favorite DJs on the back. We even have shirts for tomorrow and Sunday!. The numbers? The ranking of these artists on the DJMag top 100!.
There is no limit to what we can achieve together. See some rubbish on the ground? Clean it up and help keep the fields clean for next year!

Dreamville Radio is crazy shit! You never know what is going to happen.

Fun & Games with nINtendo

Hidden somewhere in the partner lane is Nintendos magical land of games. Head over to try out their latest titles on the Wii U and 3DS consoles they make for guaranteed fun with your friends, as Nintendo have long been known as the masters of multiplayer. If youre tired of your controller, not to worry; your childhood heroes, Mario and Luigi, are celebrating the latters 30th anniversary with a grand moustache contest. There will be free staches for everyone and they offer a chance to win all kinds of prizes. Nintendos stand even has its own dance floor. Rock to the Jungle Beat with Donkey Kong (preferably in a banana suit), bust a move to rival Marios Spin Jump (and hold on to your moustache!), or hammer out your best steps like Kirby (but try not to eat anyone). And dont forget to wish Luigi a happy birthday!

BEWARE OF BAD DRUGS!

We have received an important warning from Quality Nights, an organization which works to improve festival-goers health. It appears that ecstasy, also known as xtc and MDMA, is currently very dangerous. Last month, a lot of tablets have been found that contain PMMA. There are also reports of pills with an extremely high MDMA content. Both of these can do you serious harm; if you decide to use drugs, please be very careful. Do not be afraid to contact First Aid services or security if something goes wrong after taking ecstasy. But remember: the best way to avoid trouble is not to take drugs! For more information, go to www.druglijn.be.

THE SOUND
Music generates gravity; it pulls people in and binds them together. Heres how friends are made.
Looking out over the incredible mainstage, a strange mix of people gathered on Friday afternoon. Complete strangers to one another, carrying dozens of colourful flags along with them, had an intimate moment at the mainstage VIP. They were invited for a brief moment to represent their country at this weekend of madness. Tomorrowland Today took some of these travelers aside for a moment. With Nervo playing loud on the background and the sun shining bright, Debbie from Los Angeles smiles when asked what her first impression of Tomorrowland is. Its a different universe. The amazing production, the service, the visitors, its all falling into place. Debbie is doing a European tour. After Tomorrowland shell be heading to Italy, France, Spain and more. And the thing is: shes all by herself! But thats ok! Ive already made many new friends today. Thats probably the thing I love the most about this amazing festival. Its a melting pot of so many different cultures. Out of all the tickets sold, one for each country was randomly selected for this international moment of love. Luxury drinks were on the house, and everyone got to pin their flag onto a wall of leaves. These lucky chosen few got to be ambassadors for the culture that formed them, with one important thing in common; their passion for music. It feels like coming home. When youre dancing like crazy at the mainstage and you take a look for a moment, youre immediately friends with the stranger next to you. Ive got friends from all different cultures because of this music. Tasha came all the way from Australia for Tomorrowland. I work my ass off all year long, just so I can visit this Disneyland for music. Work hard, play harder! She teamed up with some people she met on Facebook. Its a group for everyone who wants to attend. Today I finally got to meet them in person! Meanwhile the group has grown in size and variety. Sweden, New Zealand, Cyprus, Estonia. Diversity rules. By the time Arty takes the mainstage, this group of strangers has become a little family on their own. And all that because of the music. Thats the power of Tomorrowland.
Down in India, they only thing weve got is Sandburn festival. Electronic music is growing in popularity but it will take some time to establish. After watching the aftermovie of last year, we just had to go. It was a hell of a trip, but standing here and looking out over the valley it was worth every penny. A feeling which simply cant be described. Its a moving sight to see all these different cultures dance side by side. Even people from countries at war, or with a shared history of violence, can be seen laughing. For instance; we saw the flags of the USA hanging next to the one of Venezuela. Theres no hate. Just friendship. Where in the world do you get that?

UNITED BY

In Guatemala there isnt much to do as it comes to electronic music. Last year weve been to Ultra, which was amazing. But this year we wanted to step it up a notch. The next level. And there really is only one option, Tomorrowland! The atmosphere is amazing. Everybodys smiling. Everybodys happy. United by the music.

When youre going through an intense weekend like this it is important to eat regularly, and make sure to find good food. Youre lucky! Weve got a wide selection of just that at Tomorrowland. TML Today selected some of the delicious culinary delights offered all around the grounds, sampled them, and had a word with the people who prepare them. Are you hungry yet, or what!?

Not every meat-lover likes his meal stuffed with other stuff than the meat itself. For those who just want plain meat and nothing more, or for those who love chicken: meet Grilled Chicken! The chickens are prepared with love, according to Kip van t spit owner Kor Vermeylen: Ive been grilling chicken for over 21 years and doing it at festivals for 19 years now. Just chicken flavoured with our homemade blend of spices, nothing more or less. The best food available at the whole festival! Enjoy a half gold-brown grilled chicken, or take a whole chicken if youre extremely hungry.

Time for tapas

The food courts also offer something for people whore not in the mood for oriental dishes or extravagant meat dishes. The Tapas stalls serve delicious and easy meals. Their owner took over a wholesale in Tapas products and this was the kickstart of his love for food. He decided to start his own Tapas bar and now he and his team prepare the most delicious and easy meals, even at Tomorrowland! Dont think theyre here for no reason. The meals served by Vista from Wielrijk are dishes you do not want to miss.

FEED YOUR APPETITE

Korean Food
Ever had a taste of real Korean food? This is your chance! Visit the great cooks of KoreaSnacks. Their stand called Korean Food is located at the food court behind the main stage. Just select the ingredients and snacks you would like to add to your noodles and they will prepare your meal while you wait, watching it get better and tastier. Theyve also got a mixed plate with all kinds of Korean snacks, too much to mention in our little paper. Their menu gives you the opportunity to pick out up to ten different combinations, so make a choice and enjoy your meal.

That looks Tasty!

Meat-lovers

Are you ready to enjoy the best meatball youve ever tasted? Get a handcrafted meatball at Handcrafted Balls & Glory Meatballs (you are correct that is a whole lot of balls). Their liquid-stuffed spheres will blow any meat lovers mind. What we like most about our meatballs is that they are filled with the things we enjoy most, like the one with apple and ham featured yesterday. HB&GMs food is prepared with home-reared meat. With over thirty different fillings, theyve even got a ball the vegetarians can enjoy!

DELICIOUS dessert

Enjoyed a nice meal? When youre ready for dessert or just up for a tasty refreshment, search for one of the icecream stands that are situated around the festival site. TICs workers Laura here is one of them are glad to be of help. Just drop by their shop and dont hesitate to order this ice-cold sensation.

Wow! There is a very good reason why Tomorrowland is the worlds favourite festival and it is down to you, each and every one of you. The atmosphere at the main stage as I write this is amazing and NERVO have just taken over... woo ooh! They tell me there are more countries represented here than at the Olympics, how cool is that? I have to be very honest though, with only 40% of ticket sales going to Belgium there is a small something missing, the formations of people dancing the same way... hint hint nudge nudge I tried it a few times during Sunnery & Ryans set but only a handful of people went for it. Maybe we can do that all together today perhaps? Anyway, thank you all for being you, and I will say again, we are the revolution, we are the future and now is our time to tell the world it is time to come together... in peace with music ringing in our ears, and love in our hearts, even if it is only for these 3 days. Music on the main is getting a little bit harder each year and being a soul man I am constantly looking for the soul to rise up and out, its coming, I know it. When it does come I promise it will hit you harder than any kick drum, but now Im babbling, it has been an emotional Friday and the goose pimples have still not gone kippenvel they say in Holland. Saturday will be a Saturday I hope youre ready for... we have an awesome line up today, so make sure to pass by at some point and let yourself be heard! Right, time for a vodka and a nice big fatyou name it! Hahaha.

GET COOLWASHED BY LIPTON

There may be clouds, there may be thunder, but our weekend of festivities is still piping hot. You may not fancy waiting at the showers, you may like to cool down by means of a water balloon barrage or want to feel the soapy touch of Liptons yellow-blue hostesses. In any of those cases, the ice tea brands Coolwash is just the thing for you. Conveniently located between Dreamvilles Green and Red districts, you have probably noticed their stand already. It encompasses a true human carwash: first, you pass through a refreshing mist, then you get soaped up (by the soft hands of those hostesses we spoke of) and washed down (yep, thats the water balloons) and finally, theres a bunch of blow-dryers and flaps to blast the water off. So if you havent already, get over there, fling a couple balloons at people, and get yourself Coolwashed!

COCKTAILS OF THE WORLD

Bacardi presents to you: the cocktails of the world. The finest cocktails based on the best rum produced in the whole universe, mixed by the worlds best mixologists. These cocktails will of course be available at during the weekend, so here is an introduction to the finest drinks we know.

MEGA NAG

A flock of strange visitors has been sighted all across Tomorrowland. They hail from a newly discovered dimension, known only as Art for Thought. Can you spot every one of them? Name: Mega Nag Age: Too old. Birthday: None of your business, I hate birthdays. Favourite fruit: Lemon. Favourite season: Fall. Dream vacation: Home. Favourite flower: Cactus. Favourite scent: Get lost! Coffee or tea: Water. Sweet or salt: Bitter. Favourite quote: Nothing is more depressing than optimism. Why are you coming to Tomorrowland? Im on a mission, I want to convince people life is hard and unfair. Im quite good at it, first I talked to politicians but that wasnt much of a challenge. They gave in right away. Then religious fundamentalists. Easy as well. Now Im up for the real work: the so called happy people. Damn I hate all those smiling faces! I heard Tomorrowland has quite a reputation when it comes to smiling and fun. Lets see what I can do about that.

Meet Yves V, the DJ who grew from Tomorrowland favourite to worldwide phenomenon.
Since 2007, Belgian top artist Yves V has been a resident at the Tomorrowland mainstage. During the last 5 years, he managed to surprise Tomorrowlands international crowd over and over again with his great remixes that strike like a bomb! Nowadays, Yves V is traveling all round the world. He is booked to play at the worlds major events from Brazil to Russia and from India to South Africa. Tomorrowland Today caught up with this forerunner of electronic music to be told about his experiences in Boom. How would you describe or explain the magic of Tomorrowland? Its difficult to describe, but everybody thats been here or even saw the aftermovie knows that this isnt your ordinary festival. When you set foot on the festival grounds you can instantly feel the magic. I think their eye for detail is one of the events main successes; from the food corners to the smallest stages, they are all perfect. Nowadays, demand for tickets is so high that if you have a ticket, you feel special. How did you get involved with all of this? Whats the story of Yves and Tomorrowland? I was lucky enough to grow with the festival. Seven years ago I had the chance to play at another ID&T event called HEAVEN. This was such a success that they asked me to open the mainstage. Im proud to say that I am a Tomorrowland Resident DJ. Whats the role of Tomorrowland in your career? Did it help you become this big? I think being one of the Tomorrowland residents has been great for my career. Besides from that I have my own productions which are doing really well. I feel that when I play abroad people want to feel that Tomorrowland vibe, the one I try to give during my sets. Today, youll host V-Sessions, with an impressive line-up. Can you tell us what this stage is all about? Artists? V-Sessions is the name of my radio show. Last year we had the idea of hosting a stage that gave you the music that I play during my radio shows: a wide range from progressive house till electro house, were I invite some of my colleague DJs. Last years line up was with Bingo Players, Felguk, Tristan Garner, Adrian Lux, Bassjackers the list goes on. It was such a huge success that we needed to repeat it and do it bigger. First of all I am happy that I have some producers on my line-up that I admire, such as Pete Tong, Eric Prydz & Nicky Romero. Its an honour to work with them. Aside from that Ive got some great producers and DJs on stage with whom I have collaborations, like Michael Calfan and Felguk. We created a new stage this year, so prepare yourself for an amazing show. I hope to see everyone who reads this there!

When I press play the whole setting and experience take me into some kind of trance.
What is the most memorable moment you had at Tomorrowland, during all these years? Hosting my own stage at Tomorrowland has always been my dream. Last year I did it and it was huge! Also, my mainstage performance last year is one of my best memories ever. I got so many positive reactions during my set and on social media. So the pressure is on this year. And what is the weirdest thing you ever saw at Tomorrowland? Thats a difficult question. Weird but great was when the crowd at the mainstage lifted a guy up in his wheelchair. He looked so happy What do you think of TomorrowWorld? Is it a logical step? What are your expectations? I think it will be great, so many people that cant join the Tomorrowland madness due to distance or ticket sale constraints will be able join this unique experience in Atlanta. Is America the promised land for electronic music? Dance music really exploded in the US and I feel that we havent reached the top yet. Countries like Brazil and Mexico are really into EDM too, so I see a bright future for this genre. You travel around the world to play on the biggest festivals. What makes Tomorrowland so special in comparison? For me its like playing a home match, something I look forward to the whole year. This year I will be premiering 6 new tracks - I hope you guys like them! What goes through your mind seconds before you come on stage and start playing? And can you describe the feeling you have while performing? Like every artist I have some small nerves but when I press play the whole setting and experience take me into some kind of trance. I cant describe that great feeling. What does the future of Yves V look like? Busy, really busy. Im touring in Brazil, Chili, Argintina and Asia. Also, Im releasing a new track every month starting in August, so youll be hearing from me. This is your chance to speak directly to all the fans at Tomorrowland. What would you like to say? I would say enjoy it to the fullest, and I am sure this weekend will be unforgettable. Something to keep in mind: I will be hosting my V-Sessions stage today and you can catch me at the mainstage on Sunday!

Many global fans of trance music find no reason to listen to anything else. These ardent individuals bring such immense passion to the fore for this electronic dance music sub-genre, that their enthusiasm is at a level rarely seen en masse outside of EDM. People live and breathe for trance music. These ravers wouldnt be surprised to hear that trance DJs Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten and Markus Schulz sold out the storied Madison Square Garden in New York. But non-EDM fans may be astonished to know that these superstar DJs could have easily sold out venues with two or three times the capacity of NYCs crown jewel arena. Also, a performance at Tomorrowland is a watershed moment in a career and is one these men wont soon forget. Frequently ranked the #1 DJ in the world, Armin van Buuren had the chance to show off his chops on March 30th with his production A State of Trance 600 - The Expedition. Primarily a celebration of the success of Van Buurens radio show, the event also allowed Corsten and Schulz to premiere their collaborative project, New World Punx.

Im a DJ and I think its my job to be curious as to what drives people to like certain tracks. Im very hungry to understand that. I think its even my job to understand why people like Gangnam Style even though I would never ever play that in my set. I want to understand the emotion behind it. I want to know why people like it. Thats my job. Im curious. Most of the tracks in the Billboard [charts] dont really appeal to me because my heart is really with trance music. But I think its an important lesson to learn from every style, every genre. What pitfalls you have and what your strengths are. You have to learn. You do live albums and you do studio albums. When you are creating a studio album, how does that differ from a live album?

Im just sitting back relaxed, enjoying making sounds

Sitting down with van Buuren before his gala, Tomorrowland Today had a chance to discuss some of his favourite music and his new album Intense. What has been some advice you have received that helped keep your show going?

When I DJ, I play tracks from myself and tracks from other people. When I do an artist album, Ive produced every track myself. So I go into the studio with singers, writers, guitar players, violin players, everything and create everything myself. A DJ set is really based on what you feel. Its really on the spot. Its like, its that kind of crowd so Im playing this and this and this. Its more catered to the actual situation. When Im in the studio, I dont have reference with the crowd. I dont see a crowd in front of me. Im just sitting back relaxed, enjoying making sounds and soundscapes and trying new things with music. Before we wrap up, would you care to share something about Intense?

Its most important to say that A State of Trance is not a show for the fans only, its a show by the fans as well. It popped into my mind to stop at 500 episodes but seeing the show grow and progress like it has is all because of the fans. The fans keep the show alive. Thats the reality of things. Im really overwhelmed by the support every week online and the love from the fans for this music. Its just amazing. In one of your earlier interviews you were speaking about Bach or Beethovenwhat sort of artists or musicians do you listen to outside of the EDM genre? Is there anything you are drawing inspiration from that is not EDM?

Intense is my new album. Its my fifth artist album and it will be released on the 3rd of May (the 7th in the US eds.). Its a very varied album. Its a trance album but Ive listened to a lot of other styles as well. There is a theme behind the album, if you look at the cover where Im holding the light. Its sort of a metaphor to say that Ive found my own road. I didnt try to force anything with Intense. I was just in the studio having so much fun creating music.

Delta Heavy
Star Warz 00:00
Battering down the doors of the genre elitists come a pair of producers plucked from the ranks of Rams new generation of incredible music making talents. In a little over a year Delta Heavy, or Si James and Ben Hall to their friends, have already proven their drum & bass metal with a succession of heavy-hitting original tracks. They met at university in Nottingham and after several years of hard work, their production efforts resulted in their debut drum & bass release on Vipers acclaimed Acts of Mad Men compilation in June 2009. A track in the urban thriller Harry Brown, (which featured the sound track by Chase & Status) and several dubstep and house remixes followed in quick succession. Dance floor anthem Abort came out on Vipers Headroom EP in June 2010 to huge response and gained them recognition within the scene. With Radio 1 support from Zane Lowe and Hugh Stevens as well as Andy C, Friction, High Contrast and the rest, it became a vital fixture in DJ sets across the country. Delta Heavy are two guys who wont be disappearing from your wavelengths any time soon.

Martin Solveig

Super You&Me 20:00

It was just one record that catapulted Martin Solveig from being a well-respected DJ into one of the most formidable producers and performers in the world. Hello has now sold over 2 million copies and earned global re cognition, achieving platinum status in America, Italy, Germany and Austria, as well as going twice platinum in Canada and in Australia... His music videos are renowned as the best in

their class by far and his performances continue to electrify audiences in every corner of the globe. With his fourth studio album SMASH still seeing its release territory-by-territory, Martin continues to draw us into a world of pure and unparalleled fun. 2013 will be like no other for the unassuming master, whether its headlining festival stages, including a debut performance at Coachella, or performing

on national TV the world over for millions of viewers. Everything the man approaches, he does with the same intensity and flare that has spanned his entire career; he has an innate ability to make each and every person in a room feel welcome, invited and free of inhibitions. At the end of the day this boils down to one thing: Martin Solveig is one of the most exciting and talented performers in the world.

Satoshi Tomiie
Ketaloco 20:30
Satoshi Tomiie is Japans most successful DJ. Since the late 1980s he has been at the forefront of the global house music movement thanks to his seminal dancefloor anthems, pop remixes, headliner DJ sets and constant reinvention. A lifelong student of jazz and classical piano, Satoshi had an influential impact from his very first record. His debut single Tears, which he coproduced in 1989 with Chicagos Godfather of house Frankie Knuckles, was an instant club hit and is today considered one of house musics most important moments. In the early 1990s, he toured and played keyboard for Japanese composer Ryuichi Sakamoto (of Yellow Magic Orchestra fame). His reputation for crafting meticulous club rhythms led to him remixing some of pops biggest names including U2, Mariah Carey, Photek, Simply Red, and David Bowie. At the turn of the millennium, in a reinventive move typical of his DJ career, Satoshi introduced a groundbreaking new club sound via 2000s Full Lick album. The long-player featured dark twisted electronic rhythms, haunting vocals, and hypnotic grooves that came to set the benchmark for a new developing house scene. The albums hit single Love In Traffic became a worldwide underground hit.

Axwell
Mainstage 20:30
The king of the sun-kissed summer anthem; the mogul behind one of the hottest imprints on the planet; a superstar producer and DJ whos never lost the giddy enthusiasm of a fledgling clubber, and one of the most successful and influential remixers of the 21st century. By anyones standards, Axel Axwell Hedfors is a giant of modern-day dance music and hes only going to get bigger. You only have to take a look over the back catalogue of Axtone, Axwells much-admired label, to see his enthusiasm for a dizzying range of styles and sounds. From the banging to the beatific, Axwell and his roster of artists which includes Dirty South, TV Rock and Prok & Fitch amongst others really have managed to please all the people, all the time. Whatever direction the music takes Axwell in next, you can be sure that hell be closely followed by admirers and imitators alike. During the past 15 years, says sometime Axwell-collaborator Bob Sinclair, there are only a few guys who have really influenced the dance music scene with their sound and the way that they produce. Axwell is one of them.

Sven Vth
Cocoon Heroes 22:00
Since his beginnings in the Frankfurt club scene in 1982, when Sven Vth attracted interest with DJ sets of several hours and a completely new understanding of club culture, his name has not only stood for the constant development of this art form called Electronic Music. With his platform Cocoon, he has also revealed a real dedication in the support of young musical talent showing his passion for bringing great music to the fore. Sven has his fans in the most important clubs across the globe as well as at the worlds biggest festivals, he toured South America and played in the Thai jungle, and he is cultural ambassador of the German Goethe Institute. On the dance floor, he unites thirty-five-year-olds with fifteen-yearolds. The readers polls of the big magazines regularly see him in top ranks in every important category, and his tours lead him to more than seventy cities and numerous festivals on four continents, practically all year long. His Cocoon network is home to a booking agency, an event agency and the record label Cocoon Recordings three very important components of the electronic music scene that are both innovative and independent.

Masters At Work
Derrick Carter Family & Friends 23:00
Masters at Work is the house/garage production and remix team of Little Louie Vega and Kenny Dope Gonzalez. They first worked together using the name, which had been given to them by mutual friend Todd Terry (who recorded several tracks under that name in the 1980s), in 1990. The duo has also produced music together under the names MAW, KenLou, Sole Fusion, and Nuyorican Soul. Their Nuyorican Soul project had the duo working extensively with real (as opposed to sampled or synthesized) musicians, in a variety of styles including Latin, disco, jazz, and more. The self-titled album released under the name Nuyorican Soul in 1996 included original tracks as well as cover versions of songs by the performers with which the duo was working, such as Sweet Tears (Roy Ayers), and Runaway, originally sung by Loleatta Holloway with the Salsoul Orchestra, here sung by India and featuring musicians from the original recording of 1977. Today, however, theyre back under the MAW moniker. Let Masters At Work remix your life!

Len Faki
Kozzmozz 23:30
When Len Faki moved to Berlin in 2003, he already looked back to years of fruitful productivity and the management of two highly acclaimed techno labels: Monoid and Feis. There, he had attracted artists such as Samuel L. Session, John Selway Umek and The Hacker, with releases of 12-inches, albums and mix compilations. His move to Berlin marked a decisive turning point in his career. With Len Series he founded an independent platform and trademark for his idea of Techno music. The basic concept including sublabels allows him to explore musical depths and artistic freedom. While Figure sees his own releases in loose combination with artists remixes, Podium features exclusive artist releases in combination with his own work. His bone-dry but communicative DJ style marks him as a true gentleman behind the turntable, an artist whose sets are based on passion and beauty. His finger tips are like sensors on the Richter scale, and anticipate as well as trigger eruptions on the floor.

Eric prydz
V Sessions 23:30
They say that fortune favours the brave. For Eric Prydz, a bold musical agenda and an unrivaled ability to combine commercial success (3 x Top 2 UK hit singles) with underground notoriety (fastest selling release ever on DJ download store Beatport), has allowed him to achieve worldwide recognition with his integrity intact. The soft-spoken Swede hasnt given an interview in 6 years, he never appears in his music videos, and avoids artist tweets his breakfast self-promotion. His refusal to play the media circus stems from the fallout ignited by that video. His first No.1, Call On Me, was accompanied by a music promo that he didnt clear, much less approve of. He shied away from publicity and ensuing success and retreated into his studio to continue making the dark, brooding electronica he had become known for. With his first artist album ready to drop very soon, Prydz is set to make another return to the mainstream, but as any underground electronic music fan worth their salt knows, hes never far from proceedings, you just need to know where to find him. (pssst: hes headlining the V Sessions stageon Saturday!)
