inaction. The resolution of this organizational issue has taken far too long. It is my belief that our failure to resolve this situation has severely hampered the ability of EASNAC to meet its stated goals. It is my hope that this will change.
the world, Hart said. The Philippine Commission of Higher Education recently granted Adventist University to open a medical school, which will make it the sixth accredited medical school operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Loma Linda was the first. A team from Loma Linda will be working with the inaugural dean of the new medical school, Dr. Doris A. Mendoza. Mendoza is a former faculty member at the West Visayas State University College of Medicine. Mendoza has outlined a very modern medical education curriculum that will meet more stringent Filipino accreditation criteria, the press release stated. AUP intends to accept its first class of 20 students in June 2014 and will use Adventist Medical Center-Manila as its primary clinical teaching site. In addition, the new faculty at Adventist University will be enrolled in the online Master of Sciences degree program in Health Professions Education an inter-professional graduate program at Loma Linda University designed to prepare clinicians to teach in the classroom. Loma Linda University has a strong, ongoing history with Adventist University of the Philippines. Loma Linda School of Public Health assisted the Filipino university in developing its own College of Health approximately 30 years ago and LLU School of Dentistry also collaborated with AUP to develop in 2005.

agenda but just to bond together. But knowing how active their subchapter in EASNAC wants to be, they couldnt help if they talk about their scholarship program and how they want to run it. They talk about other activities, plans for the future, increasing their members participation in the annual Philippine Independence Day Parade for next year was what occupied their discussions. The coming health expo in Ocean City, New Jersey was also a topic since the New York subchapter was inviting the New Jersey group to have a joint activity giving a cultural exhibition and participate in a health expo sponsored by the New York Consulate of the Philippines. Food was plentiful and the sultry day picnic was relaxing and enjoyable.
