The first section isQuantitative Ability & Data Interpretation; the second section is Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning. These two sections will be implemented sequentially with separate time limits. The examination will be 140 minutes. Candidates will have 70 minutes to answer 30 questions within each section which will have an on-screen countdown timer. Within the 70 min provided for the section, candidates can review the answers. Once the time ends for the first section, they will move to the second section and will no longer be able to go back. A 15-minute tutorial will be provided before the start of the test, and candidates are advised to go through that carefully before starting the main examination You get +3 for a correct answer and -1 for a wrong answer and 0 if you dont attempt the question. Exam Name: XAT Conducted by: Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI), Jamshedpur Exam Date: First Sunday of January Registration Dates: Beginning of September to last week of November Mode: Paper based test (PBT) Exam Format: It was divided into an initial section of two hours and twenty minutes, consisting of multiplechoice questions that tested Quantitative Ability (Mathematics), Verbal Ability (English) and Data Interpretation/Logical Reasoning skills and a final section of 40 minutes which contained General Awareness questions and an Essay question. The XAT is quite similar to the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by the IIMs, except that the CAT has no Essay and General Awareness sections. Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning The areas tested are: Reading Comprehension - Standard reading comprehension passages. Logical Reasoning - Critical Reasoning (short passage), Inductive Reasoning, Critical Reasoning (Strengthening / Weakening). English Usage - Jumbled Paragraph, Fill in the blanks (Passages based on grammar and vocabulary), Odd one out, Miscellaneous language based questions. Data Interpretation and Quantitative Ability Areas tested are Arithmetic, Geometry, Algebra, Data Sufficiency, Reasoning based questions in quantitative ability. Analytical reasoning and Decision Making Areas tested are Matching, Arrangement, Data Verification, Mathematical Reasoning, Decision Making (Verbal) Essay writing Current affairs, Economy, Social environment

Test Duration: 3 hours GD/PI/WAT: WAT Website: http://www.xatonline.net.in/ Eligibility: Candidates who intend to take up the XAT must have a bachelors degree or an equivalent degree from a recognized university or a deemed university under the 10+2+3 or the 10+2+4 system. Students in their final year are also eligible, provided they produce valid documents certifying course completion to the admitted institute before the program commences. 11) Statistics: About 1,03,427 students appeared for the XAT exam in 2010. 12) Things that you need to know: XLRI Jamshedpur has about 240 seats in its flagship BM (Business Management) and PMIR (Personnel Management and Industrial Relations) programmes and 120 seats in its flagship 15 months full-time residential GMP (General Management Program). Exam Name: MAT Conducted by: AIMA Exam Date: AIMA conducts MAT four times in a year in February, May, September and December. The Paper Based Test is being conducted on the first Sunday of the February, May, September and December from 1000-1230 hours. Whereas the Computer Based Test is being conducted from Saturday onwards (6 days after the Paper Based Test date) and in different Time slots. 4) Registration Dates: A month before the declaration of exams (re check) 5) Mode: PBT and CBT both 6) Exam Format: The exam pattern changes from year to year. There is not any prescribed format for the test. The pattern of the exam is objective type. In this exam 200 questions are asked and the duration of the exam is 2 hours and 30 minutes.

Validity of the MAT score is for that particular session for most MIs is one year from the date of declaration There is no particular test format for MAT and keeps on varying each year. It is an objective type test with multiple-choice answers, designed to measure a persons general aptitudes. Each session has a different number of institutes participating. So, if youre planning to appear for Feb MAT exam, make sure your required institute is a part of it and accept your score There is no cut-off as specified by MAT, institutes choose their respective cut-offs.

In case a candidate completes the section before the section time gets over, the balance time of the given section is not added to the next section(s). The next section has its own time limits needs to be completed in the allotted sectional time only. Candidates appearing for the final year of bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply subject to clearing the final examination in first attempt with 50% aggregate marks. For all the Full Time programs, candidates candidates with two or more years of post post-qualification work experience will be preferred. Statistics: 50,000 were registered in 2012 (approx.) Things that you need to know: NMAT is the entrance exam for admission to all the MBA Full Time courses of NMIMS Mumbai and the PGDM courses of NMIMS Hyderabad and Bengaluru.

A candidate can take NMAT up to a maximum of 3 times (first attempt plus 2 retake attempts) including no shows, if he / she wish to. There has to be a gap of at least 15 days between two successive attempts. For candidates having multiple attempts, the best score (total and sectional) is considered for short listing purposes. The result for each attempt is declared separately, approximately 15 days after the test attempt.

Exam name: CMAT Conducted by: AICTE Exam Date: Last week of September and Third week of febuary Registration dates: First week of July-Third week of August Mode: CBT Exam format: There will be four sections in the test. The sections are (a) Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation b) Logical Reasoning c) Language Comprehension and d) General Awareness. There will be 25 questions in each section. In total, 100 questions For each correct answer there are 4 marks, for each wrong answer 1 mark shall be deducted. You can move forth and back according to your choice of sections during exam.

CMAT exam is held in 62 Cities in India and 5 Cities outside India. You can select up-to 3 cities in India giving order of preference towards your test city. There are two time slots for CMAT exam. 1st session at 9.30 AM and 2nd at 2.30 PM

Exam Name: SNAP Conducted by: Symbiosis Pune Exam Date: December Registration Dates: last week of November Mode: Exam Format: General English: reading comprehension, Verbal reasoning and ability. Section carries maximum 40 marks. Quantitative, Data Interpretation and Sufficiency. Section carries maximum 40 marks. General awareness: General knowledge, Current Affairs, Business Scenario. Section carries maximum 40 marks. Analytical and Logical Reasoning. Section carries maximum 60 marks. In total the test carries 180 marks. Test Duration: 2 hours (120 minutes) Eligibility: Candidates should have completed their graduation in any discipline from statutory university with minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates) for all the Master of Business Administration Program.
