Eggs-traordinary Project:

For this unit, we will be learning about the ins and outs of EGGS! Eggs are packed with nutrients that can be part of a nutritious breakfast. For this project, your group will be planning and filming a video on several egg cookery methods. In addition, each group will be providing at least 2 recipes that can be used with the specific egg cookery method. The two recipes must demonstrate your knowledge in the nutrition of the ingredients necessary for the dish. The project is due at the beginning of the class on: _____________________________! You MUST use your class time wisely. You will form seven groups with up to 5 members per group. Each group must pick a different egg cookery method and demonstrate their knowledge of the cookery principle. Your project should: 1. Be organized in a duotang or folder with a title page that contains the egg cookery method, the names of the members of your group and your Block. 2. Include at least ONE rubric given to you at the beginning of the project. 3. A planning sheet which illustrates what each group member is responsible for. 4. At least 2 HEALTHY recipes that uses the egg cookery principle that you making a video of. a. MAKE SURE THE HEALTHY recipes contain AT LEAST 3 food groups on the Canadian Food Guide 5. A shopping list that has all the ingredients needed for each recipe, the approximate cost of each item and the approximate total cost of ingredients from BOTH recipes. 6. 1 to 2 page double spaced document explaining the nutrients of each of the ingredients used in the 2 recipes INCLUDING the nutrition value of eggs! This write up MUST be in complete sentences. 7. A copy of the evaluation of the video. Your class time will be as followed: Day 1: Egg-citing Stations, Introduction of Project, Group formation Day 2: Group formation finalization, choosing egg cookery method and example Day 3: Planning at the computer lab Day 4: Preparation, Filming, clean up and editing Day 5: Edit and viewing of videos, peer evaluations!

Detailed plan to guarantee each group members with a job at all time. Finishes project on time/ early and adds to their project.
