OH3129 Troop Family & Parental Involvement The Troop Family is comprised of the adult members and volunteers

who work alongside the Troop Board to help the troop function in a meaningful way for all involved. The Troop Family is important to the growth of the troop and the cohesion of its members. All families of Troop OH3129 are encouraged to have an adult family member participate and support the troop and its mission in some capacity. There are three types of positions: rotating (floats between units if they have multiple girls), sporadic (if the position is something that happens at various times during the year, but not constantly (such as Historian and Fundraising Coordinator), and permanent(positions that require weekly involvement in one location, such as Unit Leaders or Assistant Unit Leaders). Please consider both your availability and your spiritual gifts as you decide which position you would like to register for with the troop. Some positions call for more leadership and/or responsibility than others; however, all positions are vital to the development and support of the troop. All parents who will be helping in any way are requiredby AHGto become registered members ($26.00 registration fee), fill out paperwork (a few pages), and complete a background check (paid for by AHG). Please keep in mind that this is all done with the desire to create a safe, welcoming, and productive place for your girls to learn and grow. Parents interested in two short-term/sporadic positions can feel free to sign up for both. The goal is to give everyone something to do to contribute to the growth and development of the troop.
