ROSES APPROACH Ok, Ive attached the booking script that I use when I follow up afterwards to book them!

I usually go out around 10am to do roses and then call them between 5-6 pm that night to book them! This is an easy way to get 20-50 leads in an hour depending on how many you purchase! Remember to save your receipt for your roses for tax season bc it is a tax deduction! Yay! Okay this is how I do it.. I start with my basket of roses (a medium sized wicker one is what I use) at one end of a strip mall and I go inside every single store where women will be working! Nail salons, hair salons, shoe stores, etc... You want to ask every woman you pass while walking on the sidewalk, through the parking lot, and on your way OUT of stores but once you enter a store, you never talk to the customers first. Approach the register and if women are in line, just wait in the line patiently as if you are checking out. Then say to them " Hello! My name is ______ and Im a beauty consultant with Mary Kay! Are you having a great day? (Wait for response, then AS YOU ARE SAYING this next line, be handing them the rose as you say it...not after) Say great! Well, we are coming up on the 50th Anniversary of Mary Kay this year and we are out today just thanking women for supporting our business for all these years! (then as you say this next part, be handing her a post-it note pad or something to write her name and number on that is blank) And as an extended part of our thank you, we are also doing a drawing tonight to give away $30 in free product and some free pampering sessions! Just jot down your name and number and I'll call you tonight if you've won something!" After they write down their info say "Thank you so much and good luck on winning the drawing! We still have several roses to give away, are there any other ladies here that you think would like to do it as well?" They almost always know more women!
ROSES FOLLOW UP SCRIPT: "Hi, it's Sheila Saine with Mary Kay and we met this morning when I handed out flowers at your work place! How are you?! I hope I was able to brighten your day! When I

spoke with you this morning I mentioned that I was doing a drawing for $30 in free product and I just wanted to let you know that you are a WINNER and as promised, I'm calling tonight to schedule your pampering session where you will receive your free product! Do you have a quick second? Ok great!

Your session features a booster facial, microdermabrasion treatment, eye zone therapy, pampering hand and lip treatment, plus a color look that I will pick out special for you to try! Then you book her! Once you have her name, date and time of facial on your calendar, turn it into a class by saying, "As my special guest I would like to tell you how you could receive an extra $50 in free product as well! How does that sound? When you bring five friends or more who are 18 or older to

your appointment, you'll automatically receive another $50 in free product and you are guaranteed to

have a blast with your girlfriends! If you choose to bring at least 3 with you, you wont get the extra $50 but you will receive a free gift from me, how does that sound? I bet you know exactly who you'd love to

invite to join you... who are you thinking of and I can call and invite them for you so I can meet them and ask them just 4 quick questions so Im sure to have the right products for them at your party..."

COSMETIC MODEL APPROACH Ok so on to the "Cosmetic Modeling" approach! Everywhere I go, I will literally stop almost every woman with makeup on her face. Young, older, it doesnt matter :) If I think they would enjoy our products, I stop them! This is what I say..... "Hello, how are you?! Girl your _____ (eyelashes, shoes, jewelry, etc) are amazing! You are so gorgeous and I would LOVE to have you as one of my cosmetic models! Have you ever done any kind of modeling before? (wait for her response then say...) Well great! Please say that you will be a model for me! Id love to have your face in my portfolio! (Wait for response then if she says yes, DO NOT walk away without her name and number! The key to this approach is total honesty and to sound SUPER EXCITED to have seen her! Our job as beauty consultants is not only to teach women how to look beautiful but to make them feel beautiful too! Like I said, be honest too...if you don't like her shoes, don't comment on them! Whatever it is that you noticed about her, point it out and compliment her on it. If you are being fake, it will show. Feel free to rephrase this to fit you but please promise me that you'll try it this way at least 5 times before switching it! Sometimes its the things that are outside our comfort zone that work the best! I have amazing success with this and so have so many other women Ive shared it with! OH, and if they ask why you are needing models and what this is for, I just explain to them that building a modeling portfolio will help me out so much because when I sit down to do a makeover on someone, they can just open my book and choose a look that they would like to try instead of us having to sit there for 30 minutes trying to think of a look she might like! It makes our job so much simpler to have that portfolio! Be sure to book them within 24 hours while you are still fresh in their mind and they are still excited! THIS IS KEY! I usually will book them that evening if I met them that morning! If she chooses to invite a few people, I will apply her makeup while everyone else applies their own! She is still your special Model and Hostess at that point so make her feel like she is! I apply these things in this order: Miracle Set ~ or the TimeWise Repair if they are over 35 Firming Eye Cream ~ over 20 Foundation Primer

Foundation ~ Liq and Powder Eye Primer Lip Primer ( you want to apply this at this time so it has time to dry) 3 eye colors ~ a highlight color under eyebrow and in the inner corner of the eye, a medium shade on the lid, and a darker color in the crease above the eyelid Mascara primer ~ so it has time to dry eyeliner ~ Along the upper lash line and if they choose to, they can put it under the lower lash line as well but NEVER in the water line bc this can cause infections. Mascara Blush Lip color ~ either lipstick and gloss or just one of the two Do the travel roll up bag close with EVERYONE! Then do satin hands with them before you check them out at the end!
