About our Amazing Staff

Hannah is a in her 4th year at Colorado School of Mines, working on a bachelors in Geological Engineering. She plans on continuing her education to get a Masters degree and PhD to become a professor. Hannah plays violin and viola and performs in the orchestra on campus, as well as playing with the Arapahoe Philharmonic Orchestra. She is also Vice President of Community Outreach for Sigma Lambda:GLBTA Engineers.

Sam Harvanek goes by many names, a few of which include, Sam, Samwise, Hammy, and DA HAM. Sam is currently a senior at the Colorado School of Few Women. Sam is studying something that involves numbers and possibly some science. Sam really wants to move up in his dream job and hopes to be the assistant to the assistant of the assistant manager at subway someday. Sam enjoys short walks by the beach and people who dance for money. Sam thinks he is funny but from this poorly written paragraph it is obvious that he is not.

Alicia Helmer is currently a sophomore studying Electrical Engineering at Colorado School of Mines in Golden, CO. Prior to attending Colorado School of Mines she grew up in Mancos, CO, a small town located in Southwest Colorado, near Mesa Verde National Park as well as several Native American reservations. Alicia enjoys going camping, hiking and fishing outside of her studies. In the future, Alicia would like to make permanent residence in either Oregon or Colorado and travel around the world. Aaron Howard is a graduating senior from Colorado School of Mines, obtaining his Bachelors of Science degree in Civil Engineering in May 2013. Prior to attending CSM, Aaron studied at Cypress Community College in Cypress, CA, where he obtained his Associates of Science degree in General Studies in May 2010. Upon graduation from CSM, Aaron is working to become a Bechtel fellow, while also furthering his education with a Masters of Science in Civil Engineering. His research will be focused toward the field of geotechnical engineering through the study of soilstructure interaction by applying principles of soil and structural dynamics, earthquake engineering, engineering mathematics, and engineering mechanics.
