Table 1 showed the number of brine shrimp in every test tube tested for toxicity of the water sample taken from _________, Glan Sarangani Province. The number of brine shrimp in each test tube varies depending on the amount of water containing the brine shrimp being transferred to the respective test tube. The concentration corresponding 1:1 ; 1:10, 1:100, 1;1000, 1:10,000 and 1:100,000 is measured through serial dilution where 1:1 dilution correspond to 100% water sample taken from the respective area of Glan Sarangani Province. Dilution liquid was prepared by dissolving 3.8 grams of rock sodium chloride with 100 mL of tap water and marked as artificial brine solution.

The values in Table 1 is being plotted and a linear regression function is determined through algebraic method. The function is being determined as y = 0.35526x + 4.571. Setting the value of y at 5.0 will represent Lethal Concentration at which 50% of the tested organism will die. The L c 50 of the linear regression is 1.2076 and extracting the antilog of x, the researcher obtained the value of 16.128 mg/L., the concentration at which 50% mortality of the experimental brine shrimp is attained. This means that the sample water has not yet reached the 50% lethal concentration considering that the greatest water sample concentration being tested is 1.0 or 100% which is lesser than 16.128 or 1,612.8% concentration of Lc limit. This likewise revealed that water in this area is still clean and can still absorb pollutant in as much as 1,612.8 percent base on the existing value to reach the lethal concentration level of 50% mortality. Thence, water in this area is still clean and fit for human activity even though an evidence of 29% mortality of the tested brine shrimp is observed which signifies that water is polluted of any pollutants.
