Thank you very much for sending an enrollment to LSI San Diego!

To apply for an F-1 student visa, the student will need documentation from LSI verifying that
he/she has been admitted to a full-time course of study. To receive this acceptance
documentation, please send the following information so that we may issue the I-20 form for the
student as soon as possible:

A BANK STATEMENT showing a minimum amount to cover tuition and

estimated living expenses according to LSI prices. Please note that estimated
living expenses are calculated at $300 per week of for any time that
accommodation is not booked through LSI.

 AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT to accompany the bank statement if this is from a 3 rd

party or sponsor.
 Copy of the PASSPORT main page with personal details
 The student’s personal HOME ADDRESS (P.O. Box is not acceptable)
 The student’s DATE OF BIRTH

 The student’s COUNTRY OF BIRTH & COUNTRY OF CITIZENSHIP

It is important to know that it is taking longer to process visa applications than it did in the past.
Please send documents as soon as possible to not delay your arrival to the United States.

As soon as the above-mentioned information has been received, the I-20 will be sent to you. We
recommend you pay the SEVIS fee as soon as possible after you receive a copy of the I-20. You
can pay the SEVIS fee at: http://www.fmjfee.com

Remember that you are required to show proof of having paid the Federal SEVIS I-901 Fee
when you appear for your visa interview.

Holiday and vacation periods are very busy times at the US embassies and consulates worldwide,
and it is important for you to have your visa in time to arrive and begin orientation and
registration activities no later than the start date on your I-20. Appointments are now mandatory
for all student visas, and some U.S. embassies and consulates require that appointments be made
at least four to eight weeks in advance. The actual visa interview may be as early as 120 days
prior to your planned arrival date in the United States. All U.S. embassies and consulates have a
website where you can read the latest information on visa procedures. Visit:
