HOW "THE WARLOCK AGAINST THE MIRROR" WAS BORN

The Warlock against the mirror" is the result of the alliance between Cronistar Productions and the cinema director Rai Garcia, in a film dedicated to the legend of the footballer Enrique Castro Quini". In The Warlock against the mirror" the movie goes further than the legend and shows you the real man that is Enrique Castro. Through Quinis recollections we relive his experiences of his glorious past in the sport, but splashed with hard episodes in his personal life that show the faith and the nature of this magnetic person. This legend of football continues provoking the admiration and fondness from thousands of followers. In the film, Quini starts from the present time a review about his life through different episodes that have marked his life. Some of these events in his life have been removed by himself from his memory and in the film he is going to face some of these events again, for example, the small place in the city of Zaragoza where he was kidnapped for 25 days and the medical centre in Barcelona where he was treated to overcome throat cancer and also the Spanish beach where his brother drowned whilst trying to save two children. The film also recollects some of his most famous and spectacular goals that excited his faithful supporters and also he recounts his intimate moments about his professional football career and his experiences in clubs like Sporting the Gijon and FC Barcelona, but overall the film shows how a normal man became Quini through his great football career and personal challenges in his life to became a legend to all his followers.

THE FILM
"The warlock against the mirror" is a film about the real life of Enrique Castro Quini". The film tells things that have never been explained and are recounted by the emotion and intimacy of Quini himself" Rai Garcia. This is the first time that Quini has opened the doors of his private life to the public. The film explains the life of the football player personally and it is a gift by a person who has been extremely exposed but he has always tried to preserve his private life and his past. In the film it is himself who talks about his life on both sides, physical and emotional, with regard to the more controversial parts of his life. We visit the places that had a great impact on his life: Barcelona, Zaragoza, Madrid and Asturias. "The warlock against the mirror is a film about emotions and values. The portrait of a unique human being, a crushing empathic person whose life is narrated in a series of prodigious scenes that forget the chronological order to focus the film on the service of a human story. The film is going to be unmissable. In this film Quini is going to look at his face in the mirror and he is going to recognize himself in his own good and bad experiences and the consequences that these have had on him. It is a real and intimate story of a human hero.

THE CHARACTER
Enrique Castro Quini" is one of the most relevant and endearing people in Spanish football history. Besides his undeniable sporting qualities, he won some of the most important titles in the football world. It is necessary to add his human values that have turned him into one of the greatest names in Spanish football that with which generates fondness, admiration and respect from thousands of people worldwide. Quini is proud of his football achievements but remains shy about them and his humanity always stands out. The film is a phenomenon that comes out of soccer that has turned him into an icon and an example to others: praised by his ex football player mates and admired by the football players of the present, adored and applauded by all the fans still today. Football players, trainers, executives and fans of all Spain coincide in the description of the Quini character. Probably Spain doesnt have another person in Spanish football with the capacity of inciting such positive and happily homogeneous opinions around his character. Quini is big at all levels, that is why in some football grounds around Spain you can still hear the chant Now Quini, now" as a modern mantra, especially in Molinon when Quini appears. FILM RECORDING
"The warlock against the mirror" started recording in November 2011 in the Spanish city of Zaragoza and the film was launched one year later, 22 of November 2012 in Gijon (Asturias) as an invited film for the 50th anniversary of the International Festival Film of Gijon. The film has had incredible success since the first showing of the film and the big demand from the audience obliged the film festival of Gijon to program a new showing of the film during the festival. Asturias public television (TPA) was the first tv channel who programmed the film on tv with incredible share results with a screen quote more than 15% in prime time a number above the average share for the channel.

The filming on "The warlock of the mirror" was set in different places of Spain (Asturias, Cantabria, Catalua and Aragon). In each of these places the film shows different settings that marked the life of Enrique Castro Quini. The complexity of the filming with cameras showing the diverse point of view demanded a production effort using an important investment of technical and human resources. The final budget of the film was around 400.000 euros. The investment was used to recruit highly qualified personnel with recognized experience in the cinematographic industry, and also to use the latest technology in the production of the movie. The warlock against the mirror" was recorded in HD, and in spite of the intimacy and honesty of the story, some sequences needed technical enhancements that forced us to use our own means to coordinate big productions, such as helicopters, terrestrial vehicles, and cinematographic cranes. *Se puede aportar estudio de audiencia.
