From Bos Brain:

How Money Can Buy Happiness

Question: Can dirty, smelly, ugly money be A GIFT from God? If the paper bills in your wallet are too dirty and smelly for you, you can send all of them to me (Smile). The Bible says, Every good and perfect gift is from God. It comes down from the Father (James 1:17). If money can be a gift from God, then money can be a good thing. But you dont have to take my word for it. Just look at your own personal experience with money. When I look at my life, Ive experienced both prosperity and poverty. Ive experienced both rich and poor. Ive experienced having money and having no money. And between the two, let me tell you with all honesty, hands down, being rich is better than being poor. Haha. I believe that God doesnt mind you becoming rich. But on one condition: That youre already rich on the inside before you become rich on the outside. Be Rich on the Inside Before You Get Rich on the Outside I was reading about a man named Jack who would disagree with me. He said, Being poor is better than being rich. How come? A few years ago, Jack won the LOTTO in America. His prize? $315 Million. He said that it destroyed his life. It broke up his marriage. His kids turned to drugs. Jack told reporters, I wish I never became rich. Because money is the great magnifier. It simply magnifies that which is within you. If youre a broken person, money will make you more broken. If youre a selfish person, money will make you more selfish. But if deep within you, youre good and humble and kind and generous and selfless and disciplined, money will magnify all that fantastic stuff in you. If youre already rich on the insideGod doesnt mind you being rich on the outside. Because the Bible says, Let theLordbe magnified, who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant (Psalms 35:27). Well talk more about this in this issue of WealthStrategies. Enjoy! May your dreams come true,

Bo Sanchez

3 Types of Rich People

By Bo Sanchez
We define people either rich or poor. But it isnt as simple as that. If you say, hes rich, I ask you: What kind? You see, there are three types of rich people in the world today 1. Filthy Rich This is the greedy, selfish, corrupt person. This is the main reason why people say, Money does not buy happiness. Because the filthy rich are miserable people. Theyre so absorbed by their wealth, they become like Gollum in the movie, The Lord of the Rings. Remember him? The precious ring took over his life. He stopped eating. He stopped sleeping. And he became a monster. The ring became so powerful, it controlled him. And he killed his friend just to possess it. But in reality, the ring possessed him. Some rich people act like Gollum. Their money eats them up. Yes, You Can Be Happy Without Money, But Money doesnt make you happy. Recently, they asked 150,000 people from all over the world, Are you happy? The top 10 happiest countries in the world: Panama, Paraguay, El Salvador, Venezuela, Trinidad, Thailand, Guatemala, Philippines, Ecuador, and Costa Rica. Every time they do these studies, the Philippines is always included in the top 10 happiest countries in the world. But always absent from that list are the wealthy nations like Japan, or Canada, or Australia, or America. And who ranked the unhappiest? Singaporeone of the most prosperous countries in Asia. In fact, very wealthy countries like Germany and France was tied in at 47th place together with poverty-stricken Somalia. So, yes, its true, money does not buy happiness. But in saying that, people come up with a crazy conclusion: Because money doesnt buy happiness, dont try to become rich, because it wont make you happy. Huh? Does that have logic? Yes, it does. Terrible logic! Because being Filthy Rich isnt the only way of becoming rich. There are three kinds of rich people in the world. Lets go to the second type 2. Guilty Rich Let me tell you a story. One day, a thirtyish woman walked up to me and asked if she could talk to me. When we were in a quiet corner, she said, Brother Bo, can you pray for me? I feel so unhappy. I know Im supposed to be happy, but Im not Why do you say that? I asked. She said, Well, for the first time in my life, Im earning a lot of money. I got a new job last year and I got this huge raise. They tripled my salary, Brother Bo. I couldnt believe it. Plus they gave a big bonus upon entering the company. Im supposed to be ecstatic. But why dont I feel happy at all?

I asked my usual check-up questionswhether there was anything wrong with her relationships, her marriage, her spiritual life, etc. But she told me that everything about her life was rosy. So it was even more intriguing why she felt unhappy. And then an idea came to my mind. I asked her, Are you comfortable with earning a lot of money? And that question hit the bulls eye. This woman had a TOXIC relationship with money. I learned that when she was a child, her parents taught her to look at money as something BAD. Thinking of money was BAD. Talking about money was BAD. And all rich people were BAD people. They never talked about money except in a negative way. So etched deep in her subconscious, she believed that money was the devil itself. And so in her heart, she felt very GUILTY earning a lot of money. She was more comfortable with poverty than prosperity. Because of her newfound wealth, she was living in foreign territory. And anything that was unfamiliar was frightening. I actually had to pray for her deliverance, to drive out the wrong beliefs from her mind. I told her to read my books, 8 Secrets of the Truly Rich, 8 Habits of the Happy Millionaire, and Prosper. Through these books, she will immerse her mind in a new way of thinking. Thankfully, theres a third way of becoming rich 3. Truly Rich Yes, I agree that money doesnt buy happiness. But heres the thing: Who said that God designed money to buy happiness? God never designed money to buy happiness. God designed money to increase HELPFULNESS. Dont make happiness your purpose in life. If you do, youll never be happy. This is the principle of OBLIQUITY. Instead of pursuing happiness, pursue your purpose in lifehelping others, serving others, caring for others, living for othersand youll achieve happiness. First, God gives you money to help your family Truly Rich People Help Their Family The Bible says, But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever (1 Timothy 5:8). Sadly, statistics say that 70 percent of single-parent families are without a father. That means that many fathers have abandoned their children. Like my friend, a single mom with two kids. Three years ago, she called me up and said, Freddie ran away with another girl. For the past three years, Freddie has not sent a single peso to support his ex-wife and kids. I couldnt believe it. But this scenario is very common. There are so many problems in this world: poverty, war, corruption But I believe that the problem of this world is a fatherhood problem. The father isnt taking spiritual and financial responsibility for his family. When I talk to fathers, I tell them that the two critical roles of a father is (1) to train his kids how to love God and, (2) to train his kids how to earn money. Many fathers FAIL in both counts. Thats why rich families become poor, and why poor families remain poor.

But helping your family isnt enough. Thats why you need to earn more. I believe God wants to bless you more so that you can help your bigger family Truly Rich People Help Their Bigger Family After Cain killed Abel, God asked Cain where his brother was. And Cain said, Am I my brothers keeper? That penetrating question, Am I my brothers keeper? is found in the first book of the Bible. And I believe that for the rest of the entire Bible, God is answering that question with a resounding, loud, thundering, YES! Last week, I was talking to Nanay Socorro Ramosthe owner of National Bookstore. As an 18-year-old girl, Coring was selling books in a tiny bookstore during the Japanese war. Today, National Bookstore is the largest bookstore chain in the Philippines, with 153 branches all over the country. While chatting together, Nanay pulled me closer to herself and whispered, Brother Bo, I want to tell you something. Do you know that it will be better for me if I just invest all my money, earn from the interest, and just retire and live an easy life? If I do that, I wont have to deal with the BIR, Customs, Mall rentals, etc. But I cant do that. Because there are 4,300+ employees that depend on this business. Their families need this business. So here I am, 90 years old, still going to work every dayMonday to Saturday! Why Im Happier Money does not make you happy. I realized that money can only make you happy if you were happy before you got the money. Once upon a time, I was poor and happy. Today, Im rich and happier. Im happier NOT just because I can afford to buy stuff. (Okay, I must admit thats a nice bonus.) Im happier because I can help my BIGGER family. When I was a poor missionary, I could only feed one family. Every day, when I went to Mass, I remember passing by this poor family actually living in the doorsteps of the church. They were so poor, they had nothing to eat. Every so often, Id dig from my pocket, go to the next-door bakery, and buy them some bread. That was their breakfast. But I couldnt do it regularly. Because there were days when I really had nothing. Today, I run a few businesses. And I have over 100 people working for me, either full-time or part-time. When I was poor, I could feed one family. Today that I am no longer poor, I can now feed one hundred families. Isnt this a fantastic reason to be Truly Rich? Its not about the money. Its not about the wealth. Goodness, its not even about you! Its about God. Its about love. Its about service. Its about dying to yourself so that others may live! May your dreams come true,

Raising Children
By Pao Antonio Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it. (Proverbs 22:6)
Id like to discuss on the business of fatherhood in relation to growing your wealth. I confess that I have been following and doing my best to follow the writings of Bro. Bo Sanchez on how he has been growing his relationship with his boys (I, too, have two boys). In my six years of being a hands-on father, I learned important things on how to raise up the next generation of godly leaders and entrepreneurs. Allow me to share it with you. 1. Spend quality and quantity time with your children. I date my boys once a week. It varies from a twohour soccer game with merienda of siomai and gulaman at sago, to a one-hour breakfast over French fries and water, to a bike around the park. During these moments, I get to know their interests, fears, aspirations, and even their love language. This is very important most especially when they start to venture into their own fields of interests. Winning the battle of encouragement is already half-won.

2. Teach them finances by playing board games. There are a lot of board games in the market (Monopoly, Cash Flow 101 for Kids, Pictionary etc.) that will harness the bond of parents and children and enhance their financial vocabulary. Through Monopoly and Cash Flow 101 for Kids, for example, at an early age, they will be able to understand and appreciate how money works. An hour a week of game play will go a long way. 3. Sell and save something. Last October, my eldest son, Sibol, requested to have the complete set of Ninjago (it is a cartoon series of ninjas made from Lego). Instead of giving to his request, I asked him to open his own business to raise funds to purchase his collection. His idea was a home-based massage service. I assisted him in making the marketing paraphernalia (most of which were hand written). We made a list of prospective clients, and in no time he was off servicing clients while I handled his savings. Weeks before Christmas, he was already having a blast playing with his new toys. 4. Buy insurance. This is more for us, dear parents. We can never say until when our children will be able to enjoy our presence. I have a number of friends who went home to our Father, and sad to say, they did not prepare for their demise, leaving their families lost because they do not know where to start. My dear friends, they will live after we leave. I believe that a good policy is a loving gift we can give our families. In addition, there are a lot of products in the market, known as Variable-Unit-Linked products which act as protection and savings as well; an additional portfolio that will put money in our pockets in time. Please ask your personal insurance agent about it.
Issue Number 177 July 2013 Page 5

5. Teach them about our faith. Fathers, lets face it. Talking about God is not normal for us. We would rather talk about the latest news about politics, sports, cars, gadgets, and women. But anything about our faith, we leave it to our spouse. I feel it is our responsibility to train them to be amazing dads or moms by being examples of faith. ... when lifes challenges arise, we hold on to God. ... when finances are low, we thank God for the opportunity and ask for His guidance. ... when our plate is bountiful, we share our blessings to our God and His church.

At the end of the day, we can only supply them the best love, advice and education we can afford. When all is said and done, we surrender their lives to the hands of our Creator. It is the best gift we can give to the next generation... the unwavering faith, and love to a God who loves us unconditionally.

Passive Income From Real Estate

By Anna Santos Its tangible, its solid, its beautiful. Its artistic from my standpoint, and I just love real estate. Donald Trump

Have you tried finding ways onhow to generate extra income, but dont know how? Do you know that you dont need to look somewhere else to make this happen? Have you heard about leveraging?Leveraging, in its simplest term, means an activity that uses something for additional gains. What about passive income? It is earning money without requiring your full and active presence, which can be categorized as short-term and long-term. Leveraging is very effective, specifically in the financial aspect where strategies are being applied for an additional positive monetary advantage. One specific example is making money out of your own house, whether its owned or rented. Statistically speaking, majority of the population owns real estate properties such as house, lot, condominium, etc. These are acquired for one famous purposeinvestment.Though a few are capable of owning extra units or apartment buildings for rent, there is still your primary house that can be a good source ofpassive incometo begin with. Your existing house per se can be leveraged for an exemplary financial gain. My several tips include the following: 1. Garage If you have an extra garage space, you can have it rented. Most people are looking for a safe space to have their vehicles parked. Instead of having your extra parking space unused, take advantage of generating money from it because the garage is not intended to be used for something else anyway, but for parking purposes. Also, if you have a vacant lot that generates nothing but weeds and wild plants, you can either grow your own vegetables or have it for rent as a parking space to serve its purpose. 2. Front Yard Some advertisers are looking for a perfect ad space at a very affordable cost. It does not hurt to have their print ads or tarpaulin situated somewhere around your yard that can be visibly seen by their prospective clients. 3. Bedroom Extra bedrooms or bed spaces are also a great way to generate extra income. 4. Basement This can generate income in two ways: When its a finished (complete) basement, this can be rented out as adwelling place(with bathroom, kitchen, proper ventilation system, etc.). The other way is when its unfinished (incomplete), it can be rented as a storage area. Many people are looking for a safe and a cheaper storage area to put their extra stuff in.
Page 7

Issue Number 177 July 2013

5. Kitchen The kitchen is the heart of the house. This is also where you can generate an additional income from cooking dishes you are expert at that can be converted for domestic monetary profit. 6. Backyard This is most useful when some people look for an extra space for their farming, fishing, and other agricultural equipmentkept. Others also look for this extra space for what they call junks to get stored. If you dont mind having your backyard used as their junk shop for a bit, then have it rented as well only for the time youll not be needing this space. On the other hand, it would be a greater benefit to have another house or units rented out for a dependable monthly income, but it would require a huge amount of effort and money upfront. Taking baby steps at a time is a way to go. Have your way soon to getting there when youre ready. Perhaps, every house is built differently. But for sure, there is a part of your house that can be used to monetize. All you have to do is look for that part and start earning by leveraging it to your advantage. It is in your creativity and resourcefulness that will make a huge difference to generate extra money passively without leaving your house. Your house alone is a big potential for additional bucks to your pockets. Why go somewhere else?Maximize that potential and start earning while you sleep!

MailBOX
Editors Note: This letter was sent by one of our TrulyRich Club members, Platinum WealthCircle Member Charlie Fernando, to his staff after his accident. We hope that you too will be inspired as you read this. From: Charlie Fernando Subject: My Accident, Surgery & Recovery Date: March 15, 2013 12:55:20 PM GMT+08:00 Dear Officers & Staff, Allow me to tell you the complete story of my accident, surgery and recovery. I believe I owe everyone an explanation. Last January 9, I went to a restroom by a gas station in C5. I used the restroom for the disabled just because I want a big private space. After urinating, I stepped back and slipped. I was knocked unconscious for a few seconds. I got up and drove home. On my way home, I vomited. The following day, I went to the ER just to make sure. I was discharged after a few days. The neurologist, however, warned me to watch out for headache, vomiting and numbness. After a few weeks, I noticed that I was weakening. I was not myself. I needed a driver to get around. On February 15, I had the worst headache. I was vomiting even a few sips of water. I went to the ER at St. Lukes. The CT Scan showed a massive blood clot on the left hemisphere and lots of blood on the right. I was scheduled for brain surgery the next day, Saturday. The neurosurgeon said that I had a 95 percent chance of surviving. I said to myself that it also means that I have a 5 percent chance of dying. On February 16, I was scheduled to go under the knife at 4pm. My priest friend, Fr. Joey Paras, my classmate who already said Mass at our office visited me at around 2pm. He gave me three sacramentsconfession, communion and anointing of the sick. I was sad. I was crying. Maybe because there is a chance that I will not make it through. Maybe because I wanted to accomplish more. I was not angry at God. But I was asking myself if this was it. And I felt so calm after being administered the sacraments. I was ready. A little after 4pm, I was wheeled into the OR. The last thing I told Lin was, Take care of the kids and take care of the office. The anesthesiologist asked me to inhale and exhale four times and I was knocked out by the general anesthesia. The doctors drilled 2cm holes on each hemisphere, took out the clot, washed the blood away, sewed and stapled my head. I really didnt know the exact procedure. After around two hours, I was awake at the recovery room. I did not have to go through the neuro ICU. A few more minutes and I was brought back to my room. Two balls were attached to my head for the excess blood to drain out. After a few more days, one was removed. I guess the last ball was yanked out after another day. On Feb. 22, I was discharged. Except for the times when I had to shampoo my head and accidentally touch the staples, I really feel good. And I look and feel good because Im at least 10 lbs. lighter. I believe I have fully recovered. A lot of friends and even doctors are amazed at my quick recovery. Maybe because I treat this as my second life. Suddenly, theres just so many things that need to be accomplished. There are so many things to be thankful for. And maybe thats why some of you are feeling a lot of pressure from me because of my need to accomplish so much in so little time. My accident, surgery and recovery made me aware of a number of things: 1. Life can change at a flick of a finger. 2. People care. I value your visits to my room. Maybe you thought that you were a nuisance. But I really want to thank you. I had a number of visitors too but not as many as you. Im sure other people wanted to visit but were just afraid that germs will get into my wound and just aggravate the situation. 3. I learned that a lot of people prayed for me. Im sure that a lot of you did, too. 4. Most of you were worried about the possible result of the surgery. Will I survive? If I did, will I just be a vegetable being fed on tubes? Who will take over my position? But Ive already settled this with Lin. 5. I truly care for this company. I just had to be at the despedida of some employees on the same day I was discharged. I felt the warmth and the concern for my well-being. That was the first time employees hugged and shook my hands vigorously. I was afraid my head will get shaken again. 6. I now commit to making this company big. Its not for me and my family anymore. Its for everyone in this company to continue having a job, loving what they are doing, earning their keep, becoming financially stable and retiring comfortable. So guys, youll notice a new, reconditioned Charlie. Watch out!

Will God be Happy if You Get Rich?

By Bo Sanchez
I have to warn you. What youre reading about money from me in these WealthStrategies Reports is NOT what youll hear from 90 percent of the preachers out there. What I teach is controversial. And some people have called me a false prophet for saying what I teach. (Others have called me more colorful titles.) But Ill keeping saying it anyway. Because I need to. Because you need to hear this If you apply what you learn from the TrulyRichClub, get ready to destroy the shackles of your financial life. You will be set free. You can get out of debt. You can achieve your financial dreams! Gosh, I preach about this topic so often, I sometimes forget how explosive these truths are. But the avalanche of happy letters I receive from grateful people is staggering. Im drowned by them. They tell me how much RICHER they are nowfinancially and spirituallysince they applied these teachings. No doubt about it. Weve started a revolution! (Five years ago, when I started the TrulyRichClub, I didnt know we were starting a financial revolution like no other. Our battlecry at the Club is coming true: Helping good people get rich.) Let Me Ask Again: Will God Be Happy If You Get Rich? Resounding YES. Let me quote again the verse in my article on Page 1: Let theLordbe magnified, who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant (Psalms 35:27). I remember how my son started his first business. He was only five years old then. That day, we were walking in a toy store. And my boy wanted to buy a toya Power Rangers robot. Will you buy this for me, Daddy? he asked. I shook my head. Buy it with your own money. Okay. How? Set up a business, I told him. What can you sell? His face lit up. Ill sell Bangus! (milkfish) My friend sells Bonuan Bangus as his businessand our whole family loves it. So I told Bene, Go for it. Ill tell my friend to make you one of his dealers. Upon arriving home, my son got a piece of paper and wrote down a prospect listpeople who would buy his Bangus. I saw him writing, Lola Linda, Ninong Robee, Cousin Denise and seven other names of family members. As the leaflet of Bangus products was chugging out of my printer, Bene came to me already wearing a yellow necktie over his sando and shorts. He grabbed the leaflet, ran to his bike, and rode to his first victimHis Lola. I had to chase him! When he arrived at her place, rang the doorbell, gave the leaflet to my mother-in-law, and said, Just call anytime!
Issue Number 177 July 2013 Page 13

For the next few days, every time I had guests at home, hed wear his yellow necktie and distribute his leaflets. In the first week, he sold P3000 worth of Bangus. Two months later, I saw a beautiful sight I will never forget: I saw my son, sitting on the living room, playing with a Power Rangers toy he bought with his own money. Yes, I was happy that my son was earning money! Thats why I can identify with the Bible verse above: That God, being our Father, takes pleasure in our prosperity! Hey, as Founder of the TrulyRichClub, Im your elder brother. And I take delight in your prosperity too. May your dreams come true,

Bo Sanchez
