Hi friends, I totally agree with all of you. But don't you think that how can we bring a change in this very context being a citizen of India? Today, we know each and every aspects of India but I don't think we are actually working upon it. Giving opinions are very easy but applying them are very difficult.

Well. There are some major steps to be put to tackle this kind of problem:. 1. The Government should reduced the Tax rate on Fuel. 2. The Government Should provide different solar items on easily interest free installments to

the public. 3. It is duty of each individual to switch off light when no need & try to reduce using of vehicles on short distance.

Hello friends, Yes today price of oil is increasing day by day as greatest fall of rupee against dollar. Due to this value of everything is increasing and hence besides us government is also responsible for high prices of oil. So now it's a time when we must do something to tackle out this problem. 1. We should find other resources of energy like solar power, wind energy etc to save consumption of oil. 2. For short distances we should use bicycle or we can walk. These methods not only Saves oil consumption but improve our health also. 3. Switch off engine at railway crossings and if not driving. 4. Use public transportation for long distance. 5. Consumption of oil is high in industries, so they must work on other resources as solar and wind power. 6. Use of CNG and other natural gas as fuel in car and other vehicles. 7. Automobile companies must work on quality of engine they are providing (engine that consume less oil and give more output, i.e. mileage should be excellent). 8. Government should be strict on their policies related to oil and vehicles. Increased price of oil will increase price of other things also, so we should participate to save oil. Like these points there are several ways to save oils.

Hello, In present petrol crisis is on its peak, there are so many ways to save petrol one of them is

improving our road conditions because if roads are good then we do not require to change in gear again and again. So due to this mileage of vehicle increases automatically, by this a huge amount of fuel save.

Hello Friends, Oil is become a part of our life, so you know how the population is increasing day by day. As much population increased the demand of oil is also increase. So for oil related problem can solve by only way, that use as much oil as you require. If you use in that manner then the production of oil be sufficient then the increased price of oil decreased.

Hello friends, Good evening to everyone present over here. As according to my opinion, we have seen that day by day there is a scarcity of natural sources, so we have to give more preference to the solar or bio gas, so we don't face any sort of problems in our future as well as our future generation also don't face.

Hello friends, Good evening to everyone. This is a very interesting topic that we all are discussing. Actually price of any quqntity depends on demand, cosuption, and price of substitute. Demand can be minimized by less consuption. That is disscused by our friends. Now I thin we should go for price of substitute like we can use solar energy in spite of fuel energy likewise china. We can also use CNG because in our environment the amount of hydrogen is enough. We should invest more on r&d to make a hydrogen cycliender which can store more than 5% of hydrogen. If this will be possible than we can easily gat energy source on low price. We should encourage company like reliance thai is working on resourcs of oil. Thanks.

Firstly high oil price will lead to increasing price of cars, buses and other vehicles etc. Secondly, high oil price will make reduction in the low cost marginal revenue of the Indian oil corporation, CNG etc. Lastly, high oil price will lead to imbalance structure of oil company's balance sheet, their profits, their liquidity ratios etc.

Hello everyone, The following steps will be helpful for tackle this problem: 1. Several rules and regulations should be implemented on oil companies i.e they should not allow to hike the petrol prices according to their convenience. These companies should be undertaken by the central government. 2. Use of public transport whenever if it is possible. 3. Reduce tax on petroleum products by the state government. 4. To find out the others substitute of petrol like solar energy bio fuel. Because in china about 60% of the vehicle are run on solar battery. 5. Increase trade with the gulf countries like iran saudi arabia so they will provide us fuel in flexible value for our country. 6. To find out oil basin in our country so that we will produce our own fuel not need to buy from other countries.

Hi everybody, As we know that oil is non-renewable it is not good to totally depend on limited resources. Use renewable sources like: 1. Solar power. 2. Ocean water.

3. If possible wind energy in respective areas. Another thing is use bicycle for shorter distances or public transportation helps to deal with high oil prices. The employees may feel not comfortable but as the demand increases the price also increases. 'save the future' by innovating new technologies to drive automobiles.

I think use of bicycle for short distance and public transport instead of using individual vehicle as far as possible are really good ideas to save lots of gallons of fuel. Also seeing the fuel price in international market is not that high as itis in India government should let decide price of fuel by pill companies. Its as well and make energy sector more flexible as well as global. Apart from this, government should now start auctioning of shale reserves to state run companies like ongc, oil etc. Given the huge potential of the same in India. Exploration in gas hydrates and looking thorium reactors plants can be a very valuable option in future. Indian companies can go for buying more overseas averages adding to national energy security.

I agree that the present era supports a highly globalised world, meanwhile the day to day increment of population has forced to increase the production of automobiles, oil based industries which are completely relied on oil resources (non renewable resources). Always remember that the more scare the thing more is the demand hence high demand leads to high price growth. I suggest and support to encourage the renewable resources when depletion of petroleum is taken under notice. As far as speaking regarding price rate the government is the left option to provide subsidies to meet present public demands at least for the certain span of time but the idea is not applicable permanently.

Hello friends! Increase in oil prices is something which affects the life of common middle class people and in

turn economy of the country. Each day we come across that fuel prices have become dearer and point out the government to be the sole reason behind it. Though it is but not only. We are also very much responsible for this. We should be avoiding using vehicles for traveling short distances and use bicycles or opt public transport to commute. Businesspersons and high profile class officials may not follow the suit as they feel it is against their status but if we "The common people" start following this trend then it is going to save millions litre of fuel and oil will become sustainably available for the future generations to use. And the other role to play is by the government. It should ease out its policies and tax schemes and again regulate the oil sector, if everything gets through this way then I think things will be much better in the future. Thank you!

Government Should ease their policies, taxes so more overseas company come to India and seek crude oil basin. 3. After APM abandoned these crises coming so I think both Government And oil marketing companies (OPM) should equally control fuel prices. 4. Domestic companies should search more and more oil basin in country.

The oil prices are striking higher and higher prices day by day. We (people) are the main cause of this. Because we are the highest fuel consumers in the world. That too mainly for transportation. In India we think that, we are economically backward or socially backward if we use cycles instead of heavy priced vehicles which use lot of fuel. But we should change that ideology. Using cycles for short distances may start saving fuel in less amount for an individual but when it accounts to a huge no.of individuals, then we are going to make a huge change. Using cycles, by walking for even short distances not even saves fuel but also good for health. This what called as double shot. And yeah many said that using public transportation is a solution. I agree with them because it

is cheap and saves lot of fuel. I also suggest that if you and friends are out to single place ie office, party etc then try to use minimum no.of vehicles.

Hi everybody, I am very glad to speak about this topic. Today oil prices has increasing day by day. Why this happening? Because due to decreasing value of dollars, Increasing population, Transportation. These are the main factors. In our country each every product prices depends on fuel prices. Bus ticket prices, train ticket prices and some other service prices has also increased due to increasing fuel price. Second reason is increasing population. Coming year India will be beaten by china. Because so much population has been increased. Now a days at least 6 people having two wheelers out of 10 people. Before two years one person has invented bio diesel in tamilnadu. Till date he has manufactured 13000 ltr. But our government has not recognised fully his contribution to the society. Another reason is waste of fuels. We should be turnoff our vehicles while waiting traffic signal. Maximum usage of gasoline, kerosine. Road facilities. So government should motivate like other resources such bio diesel, thermal and so on.

Hello friends, Today we see that the rate of oil prices is increasing day to day. And the resources of oil in our country are reducing because of this we have to import oil from GULF countries. This affects our day to day life also. So to deal with the oil prices we have to follow some easy and low price tips. These are. 1. It is better to walk for the nearer places because walking is good for health. 2. If the destiny is somewhat far then we can use cycles. These are eco friendly. 3. We can reduce the oil usage by using buses, trains like government vehicles to reach lengthy distances better than our personal vehicles. 4. In households also we have to reduce the usage of oil products and search for alternatives. In my opinion these are some of the ways to reduce and deal with high prices of oil.

As we meet our petrol demand from Imports, we need think some different strategies for petrol price/subsidy control. Provide petrol at cheaper more subsidized rates to lower/ middle class and at market (non subsidized) price to upper rich segment. A fix quantity of petrol is to be provided on subsidized rates only to each family. Govt need to make a strategy so that subsidized petrol is to be given for the segments having income upto 8/10 lacs per annum only. Define certain slabs and provide more subsidy for families having income upto 5 lacs and no subsidy for families having income above 10 lacs. Same can be implemented by: - Linking Family income with the aadhar cards. - Provide Swap cards to each family and.

- Fix certain quantity of petrol & Diesel on each swap card. - Implementation of card reader at each petrol pump and Petrol prices to be charged accordingly. Benefits: - In will regulate the consumption of petrol, - reduce subsidy burden of govt and helps to reduce deficit. - less import strengthen the Rs. Value and Oil price control automatically. Implementation of this may take time but I feel that it will surely help to control the price and excess consumption of petrol. As oil is natural resource, we also need to think less consumption and this strategy will surely reduce the oil consumption also.

According to my opinion, use of public transport, bicycle or by pedal is the major solutions for the hike in oil prices. Sharing of vehicles will also ease the problem. Other solutions are Indian government should provide fund for the research for the alternatives of the oils and also give subsidy to establishing the products and also to the buyer of this products.

Hi friends. Today when India is hit by inflation and the value of rupee falling day by day due to our dependency on imports. The best solution to a major import good-oil can be if we Indians save oil by. 1. 2. 3. 4. Sharing vehicles. Use public transportation. Use bicycles. Walk when possible.

Though for implementing above our government has to make better facilities but if we truly save on oil then government will invest in this sector.

The other solution can be: RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT: To come with substitutes to oil so that we reduce our dependency on oil and move to pollution free and renewable resources else all our vehicles no matter how much luxurious will be no better than trash.

Also, we must learn to use the alternate fuels. For example, ethanol is a good fuel. It can be mixed with petrol and used as an alternate fuel, which would reduce the overdependence on petroleum and also reduce the pollution.

I am feeling glad to see lot of people who are very serious about this topic. Please while reading these points take yourself as a reason and how could you personally help for this. I want to add some more points. These are, 1. Reserve maintained by government can help to stabilize the price in routine days. If the prices of crude oil rises, govt should use the reserve for increasing subsidy and if crude oil decreases, then govt can reduce the subsidy and put it into the reserves.

2. Electric vehicles could be a great option. 3. We can see on road that maximum people are going alone with their vehicle. If we can go with each other we can save 20-30% fuel. This can reduce the huge prices. 4. This could be a great policy that a family could not own more than 1 or 2 cars. Many of the rich families own a car for each family member. Thanks for reading my views.

Hi friends My views on the topic " HOW TO DEAL WITH HIGH OIL PRICES "are that as " (quantity, availability) are always in an inverse relation ship with price". In these fast and developing days, affording a bicycle instead of a moped or 4 wheeler does not work out to cover a larger distances, because these days punctuality is given a major role here punctuality in the sense attending within time for work or may be anything important so, now -a-days using bicycle can't be preferred so, definitely we should adopt something which makes our work faster within time for that reason. We need not go on using cars or bikes which give less mileage and drink more oil, Because one day need overthrows luxury.

People can opt for public transport which doesn't waste a lot of time and even oil. And even people rather than using cars for smaller distances can opt walking.

Hi friends. I think high prices of oil cannot be deal with walking on foot or not using vehicles because in this developing era using vehicles is a must. I think the root cause for high price is the corruption, due to this we are paying high prices not only for oil but for other products also. We can say that the other reason is the dollar-rupee contest but it is not in our hands. But we can handle corruption if we want but it will take time to tackle corruption. I think government should encourage the use of CNG cylinders and on our part we should try to save as many oil as we can.

In my opinion I would say that man are only who are increasing the oil prices. Because if man decreases the use of fuel or petrol automatically the price will go down. And nowadays people going to market also prefer car or bike. And the cars should be banned for the people whose salary is only about 100000-200000. Because this people take loans and then by the car. And then they don't use also. So the common man should think twice to buy a car.

Good morning friends. My views on the topic " How to reduce oil prices" are- there are only two ends of controlling price i.e. buyers and supplier. As we know that supply side (OPEC) is not in our hands due to different reasons like less abundance resources, pressure from other countries etc. So we have to work on demand side and also on the things which can affect supply side to reduce oil prices. Decreasing the demand and dependency on petroleum by using alternative ways of travelling, awareness about economical use of fuel, organized infrastructure i.e. roads, parking, traffic rule etc. We can use alternate substance of petroleum by getting energy from solar, wind and other technical efforts of renewable resources. India can also generate superintendency to OPEC countries by exporting the necessity items to them with cheaper rates as compared to other competitor countries.

Govt policies and weak economy sometimes plays role to increase the oil price as they were end with high CAD current account deficit so to meet demand they need more money. Rupee depreciation is also one of economic problem which directly or indirectly increase oil prices. Thanks.

Hello friends, The most primary reasons behind increasing oil prices are: 1. More demand and less supply. 2. Depreciation in rupees value as compared to dollar. These two problems can be solved by the efforts of Indian citizens and Indian government.

The first one will be mainly solved by the citizens because we are the very people whose demand is increasing day-by-day. We must take some preventive measures to reduce the use of oil. The measures can be :- using public transports, using cycles and our feet for short distances and other solutions have already been discussed by my friends in above post. But, I want to highlight the responsibility of government in improving the situation which will contribute in reducing demand. These are as follows: 1. Support nuclear power plant projects because these are resources which fulfill our requirement eternally. 2. We can learn from Gujarat where not only solar projects are encouraged, but also windmills are established near sea regions. 3. India is one of the highest producers of sugarcane which can used in producing fuels with the help of molasses which is used in Brazil. 4. In some regions of india, railway is using diesel engines, mainly in Bihar. So, these must be made obsolete. At Least the government can run all governmental vehicles on CNG. And other renewable fuels. 5. It should encourage company like reliance which are researching in oil field. Now, my second concern is mainly related Indian economy. Depreciation in rupees is mainly due to weakness in our economical condition. These can be solved by encouraging FDI and FII in different sectors which are not in reach of foreign investors. But, Indian government have allowed these policies in many sectors like retail, defence, insurance etc. Despite this, foreigners are investing here because of our poor administration policies which is well known as RED-TAPE. So, government should also rectify these institutions. Thank you.

If it is possible use mostly walk or bicycle. 3. Off your vehicle at signal point. 4. Always use economy speed. Every Honda Bicycle mentions economy speed in speed meter which is mentioned in green line Use that speed only.

5. And the most important thing is do plantation. As we all know mileage of vehicle in cool environment little more than that of hot. Keep your environment cool by plantation. I sure the people who are pointing me will do plantation of at least 10 plants and as well serve them we will live in heaven upcoming 10 year.

Hi guys what I think about this is that by taking care of some aspects we can control the price of fuel. It is a basic need now to us and we are using much more then we need. Now when we all aware about the oil is not much left and the speed in which we are using it will be not with us in future. So when we are going outside usually use the public transport. If you are in local then avoid to go with the vehicle go by feet. Don't use car for one person. Think that this not our property it is gifted by god. Use as much you need not more than your need. Less you use it will be beneficial for future generation.

Hi friends, I do agree with most of the points raised by others. The topic here is of much relevance. 'How to deal with oil prices' is not only a good discussion topic, It is something what our government may be thinking always. Blaming on government and ourselves will not create any changes to this situation. What we want is a solution. The solution given by others such as using biogas,

using bicycles, using public transport are great ideas. In addition to this ideas, why cannot we think of a new concept. I call this concept 'Petrol and Diesel Subsidy'. The concept is that, First the government should fix a maximum limit of subsidized consumption for each family depend upon number of members. Then government should issue a card called Petrol and Diesel Subsidy card (PDSC) to all family. In that card maximum limit of subsidized consumption for every month should be specified. Upto this limit only a subsidized amount should be charged by government (suppose the actual amount of petrol is 75 Rs, subsidized amount would be approximately 65 or 70. ) And after this limit government should charge a premium rate (If the actual rate is 75, premium rate is 80 or 85). Advantages of 'Petrol and Diesel subsidy': 1 - Government can able to control the consumption of petrol and diesel. 2 - People will not use vehicles unnecessarily, they will forced to use public transport, because if their maximum subsidized limit is crossed, they would have premium rate. 3 - This will help the government to control the price hike of petrol/diesel and thus inflation in future. Because, if the demand falls, the price will not be increased highly. 4 - Government will not occur loss because richer people will use vehicle even for premium rate. Even if the government give petrol/diesel at loss by giving subsidy to common man, they can compensate the loss with the premium amount charge paid by rich people. 5 - This system helps in sustainable development.

This is good issue to discuss on. Everyone who have discussed are concerned about increase in oil price but what is the main reason behind it. I think we are responsible for it in 21st century our way of living has increased to a considerable extent. Everyone today have a automobile in their home for sure which has increased the consumption. Coming to our Government which has been increasing oil prices many times in a month and tells that they aren't responsible for the rise. I don't understand why are they hailing such a responsible posts in government and why they make false promises during election time. They blame on the decrease in value of rupee when asked. I ask who is responsible for it. We have been seeing the scams in recent times which involves these so called NATIONAL leaders. I conclude that along with government we are to responsible for this hike in prices of oil. Thank you for giving me this opportunity to say something.

Hi Friends. According to my view every person should try for recovering from this big issue not only by the government but also we all should make efforts. We have to change of our mind and also there is a need of knowing about what are the disadvantages of using these fuel consumption engines on environment and in our daily life. Also we have to know about the advantages of using those vehicles which is Eco friendly. Some points to avoid use of fuel vehicle. 1) We should use bicycle for short distance or as possible as we can do. By this we can save our environment because by this we can decrease the pollution problems. 2) We should use mostly our public transport instead of personal vehicles. 3) Put off our engines at red traffic lights. It will save a huge amount of petrol. 4) We have to Know about echo friendly vehicles like electric cars and CNG based cars to avoid use of petrol and diesel and keep safe our environment. From Government side they have to take some action. 1) Government should increase the number of public transport vehicles with high security.

2) Government should maintain the roads good and safe for vehicles. 3) Government should make aware to people about those vehicles which is Eco friendly and also make some rules to control the production of petrol or diesel engine vehicles. 3. At Last my Message to all. IF CHANGES ARE GOOD FOR US THEN THEN WE HAVE TO ACCEPT IT.

Hi everyone, Currently we are facing a very serious issue, That is hike in Oil prices which is increasing rapidly. Now a days oil price is soaring the sky, which can be depicted as one of the major Drawback in the growth of our Economy because High oil prices generally have a large negative impact on the global economic growth. In India there is scarcity of own natural resources due to which we have to import petroleum from other countries. As day by day demand for petrol, oil products is increasing and consumption rate of oil is Very high which consequently tends to increase in oil prices. Government is always blamed for ever increasing prices but somewhere we people are also responsible for high oil prices, it is our duty also to see how we can contribute towards reduction in oil prices. We must keep in mind that oil is not extracted in our country, So we should also preserve our resources and use our resources in a sustainable way. According to my opinion only solution we are left with to deal with high oil prices is to reduces the consumption of oil. i.e Decrease in consumption = Decrease in demand = decrease in price. There is many ways to apply this theory as discussed above.

Hi. To many extent we people are more responsible for hiking of oil price. We don't care about our next generation. If we finish whole fuel then what they will use. There are many ways we can deal with high oil prices. * Nowadays we see that in each family number of vehicles is greater than number of family

members which is unnecessary. Only when it is unavoidable then we should buy more vehicles. * Youth demands for more stylish bikes & cars than their friends just for show off. * For covering even a small distance we make use of bikes instead we can go by walk or by bicycle. * While purchasing bike mileage factor should be considered. * If you want to travel longer distance make the use of government vehicles like bus, train which costs very less. * When we go outing with friends we should try to share bikes if possible. * College students should have petrol partner so that petrol consumption can be reduced. * While standing on signal we should put off the engine. These changes will be very helpful to us only. If we take initiative, people will definitely follow our footprints because this is good for human beings only. Save fuel. Thank you.

I read the view of my friends and want to add something. The hike of price in petrol not only by government but we are also responsible for it. Some people buy more vehicle to protect their social status, some do not turn-off their vehicle at red signal. People have to aware it, for this purpose there is an innovative idea. As we can see the digitization in all around us, the government can also implement this on petrol distribution, they can provide card based system for consumption on petrol and prescribed the limit for petrol consumption. This will result people automatically turn toward public transport which will help to control the price of petrol.

According to my point of view we have to create some rules and regulations such that one family can attain only two vehicle, if any family want more vehicle he has to pay higher tax. By doing this we can reduce the consumption of petrol and other fossil fuels.

Other ways are same my friends suggest above. Like. 1. If we go to 1 or 2 km we go by walk or use bicycle. 2. In the red signal we off our bike and cars. 3. If we are 2 friends are going to same office no need to go separate separate bike. You use one bike to go for office. 4. If you have time so try to use government transport. 5. DO research to find out substitute of petrol like bio gas and electronic bike which is easily generated.

Hi friends, In my point of view petrol demands are increasing day by day. So we need to reduce the usage of petrol. Instead of using bike, auto, etc. , which needs petrol, we should go by walk or cycle or bullock cart or any other vehicle which does not need petrol. Another thing which is used to reduce petrol demand is government need to take actions for those people who does not attain the age (21) using vehicles.

Hello everyone! Increasing prices of oil is a burning and serious problem of current scenario. We all have to do efforts to solve this problem also we have to save fuel for future. I think by doing some little efforts we can overcome this problem like-. 1). We should use bicycle or walk on foot instead of using vehicles which run by fuel for short distances. It not only help in saving fuel but also good for body. 2). We should travel on public transport rather than on own vehicles, as government is also providing best transport facilities. 3). Turn off the engine at red signal. 4). Family members should use one car while travelling instead of many. 5). Show off must be avoided.

In my opinion by doing only a little effort one can co-operate a lot. Thanks.

The increasing price of oil creates problem in transportation. - We must use public transport instead of using a personal vehicle. This will reduce the usage of fuel. - We must use battery operated vehicles instead of using vehicles that run on fuel. - We must use electrical kitchen appliances and solar cooker instead of using LPG gas.

As there is many alternative of serious issues so this problem also has alternatives. For dealing with high prices of oil we must use some battery support vehicle instead of fuel support vehicle. We can use the regular transport system running on the road other than our own vehicle.

Hello friends, High price of Oil is a very serious problem. As we all know that the price of all regular commodities are also controlled by the fuel price. So we have to do some serious thinking to cope up with this problem. 1) Public transport is the best way to go anywhere except using personal car. It will help a lot to save fuel. 2) Nowadays there also present battery charge bikes and cars. Using this transport will also help a lot to save fuel. Look we all know that it is impossible to decrease the price of fuel, but if we try hard and use the alternatives then it will definitely help to remain the same fuel price which will help a lot.

Thanks.

According to me the inflation in oil price is directly related to the strengthening of dollar which I think no one has mention below. Oil in India is mainly imported from Arabic countries and the transaction of all this import is done in dollars so when the dollar price increases the Indian companies have to PAY FOR FOR IT and dollar price depends upon following factors. 1. 2. 3. 4. Government. Economic development. GDP. Economic growth.

We can take an example of CHINA where government have fixed the currency price ie the always the price would remain constant.

Well I believe if the number of vehicles possessed by one single family could be limited then the problem can be ascertained. In USA one family can buy only one car and for buying another one, it has to put up really genuine reasons on screen (please note purchasing power of USA is far ahead of Indian consumers, still Americans do not possess more than one vehicle since Govt anticipates the importance of fuel prices and disciplined traffic) , if this kind of provisions be made in India problem could be overcome to certain extent.

Hello everyone, I become so happy whenever I see such topics. My friends, as you all well known that our desires are unexpected and unlimited but there are dearth of resources. I am agree that dearth resources can not be applied on everything or on any where but some resources such as Petroleum, Gas, Coal etc are the resources which are only can obtained by our Nature and these are not unlimited for us. Today, our country is going so fast towards development and these resources are so useful to boost up the speed of our development. Today we are also going so fast never than before. So we have to do so many urgent works in very short time. So we are now using bikes, scooters, four wheeler cars etc to manage our urgent works up to the time. But some of us which have not any urgent work to finish in the short time but however they use very high power cc of bikes, cars or others which

are gives very poor mileage and consumes more and more fuel which are unnecessary. So I want to say that please think about our scare resources and do compromise with it because if these useful resources will become short then we never can redefine them. Only dearth or limited of petroleum is the main factor of high oil prices. We only can break it's day to day ratio of rising speed. We never can break it's rising speed downward to the zero. So my friends, please use the by cycle to the place of bike, bike to the place of car. Please do this up to the level up to which you can do it. One thing I want to say also to the government to take a fast and strong action to those people who are extracting our coal resources without taking an authorised permission. The Income Tax department should also have to be creative to charge the tax on those persons who are liable to pay their tax and the people who are not paying their tax correctly should be punished. That's why because if we were not pay our income tax correctly then how can our government purchase petroleum or other resources which are not can be found in our country. Thanks to you all.

All want their own vehicles and thus they are avoiding public transports which lead us to the unnecessary uses of natural resources, Oil are limited and imported from Arab country. So the Government has to pay high taxes for it for asking for Oil in huge amount. So I think that its all in our hand if we minimize the uses Oil, rate will definitely affected, it doesn't mean that it will decrease but it will not increase as present. HELLO EVERYONE. As we aware of our topic, I want to share my opinion how to reduce oil price. There is a direct relation of oil price with demand and supply. We all know that oil is limited natural resource. India is importing oil IRAN and equally exporting Basmati rice with 15 percent premium but due to high use of oil balance of payment is negative therefore we need to focus on reducing consumption. By the following way. 1) Use public transport because it can carry more people in less fuel consumption. 2) Promote the use of solar energy for household purpose. 3) Subsidy should provide in use of alternative energy sources not in oil. Therefore it will reduce the use of oil and increase the consumption of alternative sources, then in long run oil price in proper control. 4) Government promote the idea like electric car etc. 5) Government and private company jointly invest in R&D activities regarding alternative sources of energy. 6) It will be appreciated that if four wheeler and two wheeler company are coming with new technology which reduce the use of oil. Awareness is the only way to face the every problem therefore we need to make people aware how oil price can bring distress to economy and every household budget. Thank you.

Hello Friends, Oil is one of the conventional/non renewable source of energy which are being used since a long

time. These sources of energy are being used extensively in such a way that their known reserves have been depleted to a great extent. At the same time it is becoming increasingly difficult to discover and exploit their new deposits. It is envisaged at known deposits of petroleum in our country will get exhausted by the few decades. So we already know how valuable is this. Oil price is soaring the sky, which can be depicted as one of the major Drawback in the growth of our Economy because High oil prices generally have a large negative impact on the global economic growth. In India there is scarcity of own natural resources due to which we have to import petroleum from other countries. According to my opinion only solution we are left with to deal with high oil prices is to reduces the consumption of oil i.e. Decrease in consumption = Decrease in demand = decrease in price. Efforts from the side of people: 1) For shorter distance we must go by walk or by bicycle. We must try to use bicycles more then automobiles, by doing so we can not only reduces the consumption of oil but it will also curb air pollution. 2) People of same destination and same work must encourage CAR pooling. 3) We must try to use public transportation facilities like Metro trains, bus, rickshaws as much as possible rather than using our own private vehicles. 4) Drive wisely, Put off engines while there is a red signal traffic lights. 5) Try to research and invent substitute of petrol like bio gas and electronic bike, we should try to do some innovations so that vehicles can be operated on other alternatives like battery or bio gas, which can be easily regenerate. 6) Stop using vehicles for showing status. 7) We should focus on developing biotechnology and solar energy sources. Efforts from the side of government: 1) Government should decreases the rate of taxes. 2) Government should increase the number of public transport vehicles with high security.

3) Government should maintain the roads good and safe for vehicles. 4) Traffic police must also work hard to clear traffic jam on roads because most of the fuel will be utilized by the vehicles in the traffic. 5) Give the facilities in cities which they demand (like development of good schools, colleges etc. ) so that people can save there fuel and time too. 6) Promote bio-diesel. 7) Should promote companies which makes low petrol consuming vehicles. 8) Should make bridges so that chances of traffic may get reduced. Lastly I would like to conclude with one of the most important point that, I think, there is a need to create awareness among people about the importance of this very important natural resource. People should be aware that crude oil is very limited inside earth and it is a non renewable resource, so it is our responsibility to preserve it for our future generation and should use it as minimum as possible and use it in a sustainable way.

Hi friends, Now I am going to tell about the oil prices are rising day by day. The main cause is we never concentrate on the natural resources that's why we depend upon the oil and petrol. Today the oils and the petrol causes a lot of pollution and a lot of diseases are affected to us like breathing problems etc. 1. First of all we have to use natural resources. 2. We have to choose the nice relationship to import the oil resources. 3. The other main thing is to control the black market. The black market of oil causes they preserve the oil for their profits that's why the oil resources are became scare. 4. The last thing is we have to maintain the nice leadership then only we can cross the oil problems.

Hello Everyone,

Energy requirement is increasing as population is increasing. On Earth we have limited resources of energy like coal, petrol, diesel etc. Oil is a liquid fuel which is very costly now these days. There are following causes in my opinion. 1. Its prices are increasing because of less amount of conventional resources and demand is more. 2. Oil companies have breakdowns and failure in the plant which causes them to recover their money by increasing the prices and get it back from customers. 3. If there will be high amount of import from the foreign country then there will be increment in the cost of petroleum. Solutions: 1. One of the best solution is to find out an other alternative of the petrol and diesel so that demand may get shifted to that source of energy and it should be cheaper than petrol. 2. Another possible solution is to come up with the new technology in the automobiles which consumes less fuel and it can give good milage. 3. Like these days some of the innovative modifications are coming that they are running the engine with air as a fuel, electric vehicles, solar vehicles and CNG vehicles. So our youngsters will have to come up with new technologies for reducing the huge mountain like prices of petrol.

Hi Guys. Firstly, the rise in Oil price is mainly due to the high taxes imposed on One litre of Petrol or Diesel. Secondly, the crude Oil Price per barrel is periodically increasing every time and hence it becomes difficult for Oil companies to manage the rise in price. They do not have any other option but to increase the price per litre. Thirdly, the Oil companies have been given rights by the Government to increase or decrease the price of petrol or diesel according to the market. The best way to overcome this problem is to reduce the tax imposed on the price per litre of petrol/diesel. It is fixed by both central and state government. We can use public transport much more than individual transport as it saves a lot of fuel. It is also very cheap compared to own transport.

Increasing of Oil price is a big issue in now a days. Now the time has already come for think twice about the concerned matter. It is a fact that human being can make control over it. If only I or any one can not make changes on it. It is responsibility of every person who is the owner of a single drop of Oil. As we all are aware that Oil is Limited source of energy. As it is available in limited in earth we have to Limit over this in accordance to our use. At first I have to be conscious about this matter. If I will not be conscious then I can not make any one conscious. What are the steps I have to be taken for controlling over this that is more important for me. Then I can be discuss with others for some more steps to control over it. What I have to do is given here under. 1. At first I have realize the value of a single drop of Oil after that steps will be comes to my mind to control over it. 2. I have to limit my use over it. I have to use wherever is mandatory for utilizing. 3. I have to limit the use of my vehicles and use where it is completely necessary. 4. I have to maintain my vehicle in such a manner so that it will consumes less fuel. 5. In traffic I will not keep my vehicle in running mode. Neither I but We all should be aware about this factor. And if everyone in this world think only one unique steps to control over this problem then there will be 600 crore steps comes to controll over this problem. Actually problem is within us. We are using it without thinking. If we will start to use this valuable natural resource by thinking about its real value then we have to controll over it. Thanking you.

Good morning friends as we are aware about oil is a natural product. And it is limited so we must take it as nature's gift to human to make human life comfortable and convenience. There are many reasons in hiking oil prices in india: high demand, low import and surplus population. So this is the time that we must think about each and every perspective of oil consumption. * Request to every family who earn well they must buy 1 or more bicycle to cover short distance and for small kind of work. It will not only bring low consumption of oil but also you would be enjoying cycling exercises which is really health concerned. * Sometimes people are more concerned about safety measures and buy car. If it is necessary

so kindly think about electric vehicles, Use CNG vehicles or diesel vehicles which can limit the use of oil in transport. AND the best way use public transport: safety, pollution control, less consumption of oil and traffic control. * Government also must think about it and must introduce some vehicles w/o oil like we can see people use motor engine manufacture by own and run their vehicle. There are many vehicles been introduced like rickshaws with motor engine. Its really very creative work from people mostly in villages where oil has limited existence. * I really liked the concept of mahindra introducing electric car Reva. Automobile companies really must introduce the conference on save oil and save environment. * There are many villages where people are not aware about the renewable source of energy like solar cookers, battery lams and they use lantern, stoves, petrol. To make hot water. Hill Stations which is far away from cities and places where people hardly like to move. Government has responsibility to introduce these sources to people living there.

Hello everyone, Natural Oil is one non-renewable commodity which a common man cannot imagine his life without. This is one commodity which is a very essential source of life for a common man. Skyrocketing prices of oil has eventually put his life under severe pressure. Within three years the petrol prices have increased by ten times. The increasing petrol prices are directly or indirectly affecting the food, textile, transportation, manufacturing industries. This has done nothing but made the consumer suffer. According to me the following can be done to face this problem: 1. Government can try to subsidize the rates of petrol, if many countries have achieved this I think India can match them too. 2. The government can do a basic improvement in the quality of roads of the country. If the roads are pothole free and widened there will be smooth navigation of vehicles which can curb fuel consumption in a drastic way. 3. Bengaluru road transport authority is planning to use battery operated Eco-friendly buses which will reduce the consumption of petrol and is environmentally friendly. 4. Government can help the companies which are trying to manufacture Electric scooters by

funding these companies. 5. Research should be made on usage of bio diesel. Thank you! 5. The central government research facilities like the CFTRI, and the DRDO should be urged to carry out research on invention of alternative sources of energy.

Hi, High oil prices is the main problem in today's life. Since India imports the oil from other country and oils are non renewable source, and day by day its quantity is decreasing so due to the less availability and high demand, producing country increasing its cost price to get more and more income. If demand from other countries decrease then producing country will automatically decrease its cost to sell. Now main point is, how to reduce demand. So demand of oil will decrease when we use more and more government transport and less use of private transport and by this traffic jam will also reduce in big cities. And we should use sources like solar energy or other form of energy.

Hi everyone. It can be controlled up to some extent by the combining effect of our government and ourself. Definitely price can't be decrease in future because we are not producing it, its a natural product, one day it will be finish. So what we can do, from the very beginning we can take precaution or start working on its alternative. - Start using renewable sources like wind, solar and hydro power for generating electricity and use electric vehicle/ save oil. Like Gujarat chief minister modi said by using solar panel in canal of every villages we can generate 10 MW of electricity from a small village so we can apply this funda and use solar cooker, heater instead of using stoves, as 80% of people in villages still using stoves, lantern which consume oil. So we should be careful. - Lets come to what our government can do. First thing we should know that subsidies given in oil is very low as compare to other developing country like India due to the corruption. The amount of money deposited in swiss-bank in a year

by our political leader if invested in oil subsidies, believe me oil price will get reduce to 50% of the today's market price. - The other thing, our government can do, invest some money in R & D department of renewable energy so that new technology will come to the market and will be available in cheaper price so that a middle label people can afford. - Lastly it can aware the people of India in every villages so that they can be thought about the real fact.

If we people try to avoid private transport and prefer the public transport, it will help us to control the consumption of oil. And we all know this thing very well that when consumption will low ultimately the prices will remain constant. We should remember one thing in our mind that if we will not control the consumption of oil today than our future generation should suffer a lot for this. We should prefer the eco friendly vehicles instead of fuel engines like bicycle. For government, I only suggest that government should avoid importing of the non-renewable resources.

Government And public both can together help to reduce the prices. People should use public transport instead of private vehicle. Prefer walk for small distance not use bicycle or any other private vehicle. Government Should launch more and more public transport. In foreign countries like U.K. Road charges are very high so people use public transport instead of private vehicle because it cost very high. We should turn off light on red light. Well, the prices for oil will not go low for sure, day by day it will increase because the population is increasing at a much faster rate, similarly the consumption of the petrol and diesel is increasing rapidly it can go to 2-3 times the prices in the next 4-5 years, and according to the survey the source of oil will remain up to 2050. So the government and we the people should start to rely on renewable energy resources. Instead of using cycles we can use electric power driven vehicles and that will help in reducing the pollution to a large extent. I am using a one and saving the petrol.

Prefer walking if you are going for a small distance.

Hai friends, I am Senthil Kanth, I want to share my knowledge in this topic. Today the world is in the race for taking the oil from the earth. Nowadays, oil level is decide one of the most powerful factor in deciding the strength of that particular country. All of them want to suck the fuel from the earth without worry about the future's life of our new generation. In my point of view, the people's in awareness is the main thing for what today's happening. So each and every men from the earth should know about this basic knowledge about our Geographic Nature.

Every one should. 1. Reduce their usage of petrol and diesel vehicle for the short distance. 2. Better to take a walk for this, it also for their health. 3. Try to mingle with our neighbors for traveling, it also give time to share your feelings with them. 4. Don't encourage the children to go with bike for a shop, just tell his/her to go with their friends it will increase their friends circle. 5. Gov. Is the more responsibility for make awareness of their peoples by giving Advertisement and announcements through Radios, Tv's, Banners and posters. 6. It is responsible for both Gov. And the people to follow, no can blame the opponent. 7. Reduce usage of oil and save money, save earth.

Hi all, I am Praveen and I am here to discuss on High Oil Prices which have been the major concern for our country economically. Because of the frequent hike in the oil prices the transportation cost, cost of goods and commodities, has been effected, resulting increasing inflation in our country. The only way to reduce the oil prices is to utilize the available resource optimally and find alternatives wherever possible. The Government of India has a major role to play in this context to motivate people on optimal usage of oil consumption. We being the citizens of India have to save resources for our future generations and act responsible.

Hi All, My name is Apurva. Today we are here to discuss on the topic to reduce the use of Oil Price. First of all we have to think how can we decrease the use of oil so that the cost of effect less. For this we can do the following steps: 1) We can walk or use bicycle to travel a short distance instead of using motorbike. 2) We can use product getting energy from renewable sources of energy like solar, thermal or wind.

3) We can also do carpooling by this we can decrease the use of petrol or any kind of energy. 4) We can use electric bike so that we don't need petrol etc. 5) Instead of purchasing it from outside of the world, we have to look other renewable sources of energy inside our country. Now we can decrease the rate of petrol by: 6) Government should purchase the petrol more when the rate are low in international market and stock it rather in purchasing it in high rate. 7) Government should not provide the dealership to private parties as later they impose their own rates. 8) Government should provide extra knowledge to people to know how to use these types of product convent. 9) Government should provide product uses point in rural areas as in rural areas still there are many people who not even think of such big points. Etc. So there are many other ways to decrease the rate of petrol. Thanks.

Our government should focus on maximizing the facilities in public transport and in fact its better to provide dedicated lane for public transport to increase public transports time efficiency. It make people to use public transport instead of their own private vehicle. Hence it helps in reduction of oil consumption.

Hello friends, Instead of dealing with oil prices we will see this serious issue other way round that is stabilizing the demand and supply ratio. Well its far more easier to achieve if there is a greater social acceptance to certain do's and don'ts. 1) Making greater use of public transport. 2) Prefer walking over personal vehicle for shorter distance. 3) If possible a group should travel through share vehicle.

4) Giving subsidized fuel limit above which the user will be charged more than usual price. 5) Awareness about shortage of petrol diesel etc. 6) Switching off the engine when in signal. 7) Making states compulsory to have either/all of solar/geothermal/thermal/bio fuel/wind/hydro/tidal etc source of energy units depending upon the geographic condition of that region. 8) By products which are the result of petrol/diesel like cosmetics/petroleum jelly /plastic should be reduced to a certain extent. 9) If country like India can make beer/vine out of grain and vegetable in such a huge amount then using remains of sugarcane (molasses) she can produce fuel which would be more affordable. 10) Above all to make earth green we have to have more scientific research in the field of bio fuel.

To deal with the oil crises, everyone of this country will have to play a crucial role. Here are some suggestions for it : 1. People in urban areas will have to commute by public transport for short and long distance, this will reduce the petroleum oil, traffic jam, and will save time as well. 2. Railway government and the defense ministry have the maximum amount of land where these two departments in cooperation with the central government can do cultivation of Jatropha plant which is the alternate source of energy. 3. Government will have to subsidies battery and electricity run vehicles which will reduce the dependence on petroleum products. 4. Central government will have to invite more foreign scientists and engineers to do a joint research with our Indian scientists and engineers to explore the petroleum products in run of kutch and also in the coastal areas of our country. 5. The central government will have to make it mandatory for every state to have alternate sources of energy like wind, solar& thermal energy depending upon the geographical condition of the state. 6. The central government will have to invite more foreign companies for Investment in the country so that we can have metro connectivity here.

We can reduce the use of Fossil fuels through following ways: 1. Reduce the amount of plastic you use. Plastic is a petroleum-based product. Use canvas bags for grocery shopping, carry a reusable water bottle filled with water from home instead of buying individual plastic water bottles every time you get thirsty, and buy beverages or food items packaged in glass bottles instead of plastic ones. 2. Switch to a wood stove as a source of heat. If you have an oil furnace, consider installing a wood-burning stove instead. 3. Drive less. Walk, ride a bike, take public transportation or carpool to your destination instead of driving. If this is not possible, consider buying an electric car, hybrid car or just a car with better gas mileage that will help you reduce or eliminate the amount of oil you use. 4. Install solar panels on your home. Switching to solar power completely eliminates your dependency on fossil fuels for heat or energy in your home. 5. Buy locally grown organic produce, or plant your own organic garden. Transportation of food across the country from industrial farms to grocery stores is a big drain on fossil-fuel resources.

Its have been a bone of contention for government and have disbalance the budget of common man-"rising fuel prices". This quote covers the headline now and then. Recently it has gone unbridled as government handed over the duty to peg the prices to the fuel industries. The solution to this-- use public transport (now its have been a cliche almost). Most people have succumbed to that solution only. I will like to converge on the fact of use of solar energy also albeit of its high capital investment is required it is quite effective for cooking, house conditioning (naturally for winters). Countries like Russia, America have been following that but ours country's wide participation is yet to come. We need to spread the information regarding that as mostly thin it as the implicated type of energy. Also a move that government good take in aviation, transport and in LPG is veer toward the rating of the vehicles as in electronic devices. There are star ratings by ISI for the energy efficient devices. 5 star is the most energy efficient and 1 star will wolf down the electricity and your pockets. This can be successfully emulated for the vehicles also. It will encourage people to choose according to the efficiency and will serve to reduce the cost incurred and pollution as well.

Good Afternoon to all, Every where are every one is and will get affected by excessive usage of natural resources. There should be limited and proper utilization of these resources. Research should be given prominence to find ways for different modes of energy and to reduce usage of petroleum products. Electricity plays an very important part in minimizing usage of fuel. Electronic two wheeler and cars could replace increasing carbon monoxide exhaustion from vehicles. Metro trains, MMTS, Trams which are public transport has to be planned/design with the help of government establishments which would cover most of the city/towns. All the vehicle users need to have a card system to ensure the fuel usage (individually). This will help in subsidization as there are commercial users and individual users and cards need to be on the owner vehicle registration owners. This will help restricting excess usage of fuel and charges would vary on usage of fuels. Solar energy, wind energy, fuel from sugarcane, electricity could combine in effective decrease in importing fuel. This will save lots of tax as it would possibly only increase in future. Bi-Cycle should be used as much as possible in short distance. Even private and public sectors should propagate usage of bi-cycle, hardly a couple of people drive it to their office. It helps in keeping one's fitness and saves fuel. Awareness programs are to be taken to ensure the effects of pollution, to off the vehicle at red signals and to have self start option with vehicles would also help in doing this process with ease, maximum usage of sharing vehicles especially cars to office help in reducing cost and fuel. Nevertheless practicing by few won't help much but collectively and decisions at the top level and improvisation relating with research would surely help our country progress with leaps and bounds.

Devvrat said: (Wed, Mar 20, 2013 12:24:58 PM)

Hello I am Devvrat and firstly its very important to know what causes hikes in oil prices ? 1) firstly, the price hikes are due to more demand and less supply. So this can be only met by reduced consumption and the reasons have been discussed already. 2) secondly, the price rises when there is increase in value of rupee for a single dollar so if 1$ was initially 45 rs. And after few years it become 1$=52 rs. So there will be definitely a hike in oil prices since the mechanism of payment of crude oil is based on $ per barrels. So for this we have to strengthen our economy and we all know how it can be done and even govt is doing best for them. Know here are the solutions which I think are VERY APPROPRIATE after my findings.

Firstly what the CONCEPT I have found out is the concept of "DIESEL SUBSIDY CARD" what government is to do is to issue a diesel card for every family and specify the amount of consumption of fuel per month/year of the family based on the number of members and type of work they do. Then showing the diesel card they would get the diesel at a SUBSIDIZED price (say if the price is 70 rs. They would be getting it for rs. 65 or 63 as fixed by government) and now if the people use the cars beyond the limit specified they have to pay extra price (that is like 80 rs or 75 rs if the real price is 70 rs) which is called PREMIUM price. So its ADVANTAGES will be. 1) the mango people will use the diesel fuel cautiously and wisely since they have a limit of usage and they will be using means of public transport like buses, tempos etc so this saves fuel. 2) moreover there will be no loss to the government / companies since the losses due subsided price will be covered by the premium prices given by the high class people. =>ANOTHER finding is that we have to uses MOLASSES as an alternate sources of energy and it is already being implemented in BRAZIL and moreover we produce a large number of sugarcane so it is a very good option for an alternative source of energy. And lastly as one of my friends said that that GOVT must give CONTRACTS TO GOVERNMENT COMPANIES instead of private companies (like ONGC INSTEAD OF PRIVATE ones) this would definitely reduce the oil prices.

Hello friends. This high rate of diesel and petrol can be decreased only when we go for using cycles that helps to keep good in our health also. When every people use their cycle, bikes and cars will be of no use. But using cycle is also too hard. How much long can we drive using our cycles? so the sophistication has been created. But its rate also has been increased. The government increases only the expenses like petrol, diesel etc but they should insist the private companies to increase their salary also. Then this problem can be managed to some extent.

Hi friends, I agree with most of you that we should search for alternate fuel, maximize usage of public transport, go for periodic servicing of vehicle, improve standard of public transport. But as per my opinion, to control high oil prizes government should levy high tax on personal

vehicle which happens in Singapore to promote use of public transport. In addition to this subsidy on diesel for SUV and high end diesel cars should be finished. The subsidy on diesel is not meant for luxury but for irrigation purpose in farmland. In this way people can be convinced not to buy SUV and high end diesel cars, thereby helping in reducing oil prizes.

High oil price can be controllable by these three steps: 1. Use of public transport system rather than personal vehicle. 2. Government Should give subsidy to control the price or they should reduce the tax on crude oil (because Indian government charge 49% tax on crude oil which is highest in world). 3. Public awareness regarding sustainable use of our resources.

Hello friends, according to my point of view this is very burning topic but not recent. Now a days we have crossed the carrying capacity of the environment by our careless use and over exploitation of limited resources and indiscriminate spread of pollution and garbage. We all are living in present without considering sustainable development. Various points have been suggested above regarding ways to save natural resources and I am agree with all the points. I just want to say that if we don't have sufficient money (or other forms of money) in our pocket and we are at some shop then obviously we can't afford that item (condition is that credit is not available) similarly earth is in dangerous position to absorb the waste generated by use and also to create resources with the rate exploited by the people. As we know that in our country few people walk a miles to digest the food and few walk a miles to get food. So its my request don't follow the trend of demonstration effect. Live modern life but not at the cost of earth's health and sustainable development.

The people of above middle & high class are very much reluctant to use public transport. This should change. No initiatives found from the side of Govt for solution, but only increasing the fuel prices and making the life of below middle class and poor people miserable. Full attention should be given by Government & private sector for innovative appliances for solar energy tapping which is available easily for all without exception. People also should switch over to alternative renewable energy resources before it is too late.

1. Most of the point has been already discussed here and AS everyone said that we should to travel in public transport! I agree with all of you but now a days we know very well that what is the condition of our public transport vehicles and no one want to travel in these. So government should also make their service better and also increase the no.of vehicles. 2. Most of the person saying that we should to turn of their engine at Red signal but they don't follow these rules also. So Government can also impose a penalty if someone does not turn off their vehicles engine at Red light. 3. In villages people are not aware about it. So government can also run a campaign in villages to make people aware about it. Thank you.

Well friends, we all aware about our increase in oil prices which is going to be increased in future too. For that, 1. Shift to the cycle. It not only reduce the stress in price hike but also reduce our blood sugar level. 2. Switch OFF the engine when in signal. 3. Could implement ethanol gas in our country and allow the public to use it. This will give relief in price hike.

Hello friends, According to me the increase in oil prices is the biggest problem that the country is facing today. An increase in oil price means increase in transport costs, thereby increasing the production costs of various goods. This will lead to inflation and the ultimate consumer gets affected. So we all need to do something before its too late, before there is a big hole in our pockets. We can't always blame the government, we ourselves need to take responsibility and see that maximum energy is saved.

1. Use by-cycle or walk for short distances, this not only saves fuel but also helps you to stay healthy and fit. 2. Switch off the engine during signals. 3. Periodic checking and servicing of vehicles this will avoid wastage. 4. If 2 or more people want to go to the same destination, travel together using a single mode of transport. What the government can do is improve the standards of public transport, which will encourage people to use them rather than their own vehicles for long distances. Government must invest on non conventional sources of energy like Solar, Wind, hydro etc. This will make us self sufficient and reduce the demand of oil from foreign countries and thereby lowering oil prices.

Friends, True, people are using their cars for short distances, INR is deteriorating in the world which is directly boosting oil prices to new highs and also due to population explosion across we are in a need to consume more oil. This implies that the price of oil will rise unless at least one of these things is controlled. But we all know that oil is a limited resource and therefore as time goes on the general trend would be of its increase DESPITE whatever measures we can take. Therefore the ideal way out of this "mess" would be to bring in renewable fuels and adopt bio fuels. I also think that as a country we should spend more for research in this critical area and take a leaf out of Brazil's book where they are already using alcohol as a fuel.

Friends, Hike in oil price will contribute to inflation. Fuel consumption and demand exceeds the supply makes the situation miserable. The government of India should control the quantity of imported fuel through:. 1, Research on non-petroleum engine for the vehicles (like bio diesel). 2, Assuring the companies to produce manufacturing large mileage vehicles. 3, Enhancing the public transport system (providing the awareness to the public of the scarcity

of oil). 4, Use cycle for short range travel.

Friends, as far my views are concerned, I think obviously we should use the resource consciously but one more thing which will help in dealing with the rising oil prices is that we should try to increase our income faster than the rise in oil prices, in this way we will not find the rise in oil prices pinching. Forget about reducing the oil prices, for an individual, its even very tough to enlighten people with the with the concerns of efficient use of oil. So better we ourselves should be concerned about it. As changing a habit is the toughest task for a person, it would be great if we can pass on the idea of efficient use of oil to the next generation because they are not yet habituated with wasting it.

Hi Friends, Increasing Oil price is one of the biggest problems faced by our country. Increase in oil prices causes price rise and affect industrial production. I don't think giving subsidies to fuel is a solution to the problem, it puts the government under a huge fiscal deficit. We should find alternatives solution to this problem. Here are some of my suggestions to reduce oil crisis. 1- Reduce usage. A. Use public transport system, B. Turn off engine at traffic signals, C. Use fuel efficient cars, D. Use bicycles for short distances. E. Use CFL lamps instead of ordinary lamps. 2- Find alternative sources of energy. A. Use of non conventional energy systems like Solar panels, B. Bio-gas plants, C. Wind mills etc. 3- Reduce wastage.

A. Turn off fans and lights when not in use. B. Do not put electronic systems in stand by mode, instead switch them off when not in use. I believe that by reducing usage and by producing energy from Non conventional sources our country can stop oil import and become Energy self sufficient.

Hello friends, Petrol prices hike is a daily case in India now-a days. Actually people's demand of fuel are always increasing. That's why we should control ourself on it. In a recent survey, it has shown that if we will use petrol on this rate, then the fuel will come to end after two decades later from the world. It also indicating us the unbalance of the earth due to this petroleum. So, its all individuals duty to think about it, who have used this fuel. We must find one or more suitable alternatives of this fuel, which meet our daily requirements. In this 21st century, where people have done several magical things in different field, so our scientist should develop some alternatives materials by which we can make our transportation better. The government also pay their full attention in this case. But, the main cause behind us, we, the normal people always spend our life to meet our family's requirements, nothing think about our society, about our nation. But, its come the time to think about our nation, society. Every one should try to implement some new idea to make the world better and should inspire others to do the same.
