Day 1 Plan
YouTube.com video In Computer Lab, students will complete Dr. Seuss Scavenger Hunt. Students will use Microsoft Word to type their answers, then print.
Assessment Plan
Diagnostic - Discuss with students what they know about Dr. Seuss. Formative - Observe students to understand what they know about using computers by seeing if they can successfully use internet, type and print documents. Summative - Grade scavenger hunt to assess if students correctly used internet sources right and found correct answers.
Day 2 Plan
YouTube.com. Give Pre-Test on telling time to the nearest quarter hour. Centers:
Group 1 - Color, cut out & create Dr. Seuss clocks. Form into groups of 2

Diagnostic - Pretest on telling time to nearest quarter hour. Formative - Observe students playing games, grade worksheet from spinner game. Summative - Posttest on telling time to the nearest quarter hour.

Read How the Grinch Stole Christmas Students will draw picture and write short creative
story to explain how they would make the Grinch giggle. In the computer lab, each student will type their short story into Microsoft Word and print.

Diagnostic Review/Discuss parts of a sentence. Formative Observe students writing their creative stories and drawing pictures and help students when necessary. Summative Grade creative writing and picture using rubric.
