Blurb: When Dean Ashtons football career is cut short, he goes all out to make his own talented footballers with his new course. He gets the help of some other big names, and his own football background, Dean has everything to make some real talent, but who will make the big time? Character Biograpies: Dean Ashton: An ex professional footballer for Crewe, Norwich, West Ham and England, he had to retire at the age of 26 after failing to recover from a long term injury sustained whilst playing his one and only game for the England national team. Since his retirement in 2009, Dean had always had the ambition to run his own football course for youngsters, with his strong links to his previous clubs. Claude Makelele: An ex professional football for the likes of Real Madrid, Marseille, Celta Vigo, PSG and most famously Chelsea, Claude also had the same ambitions as Dean to create some exciting young, British talent. Since his retirement in 2011, he has been forever setting up a football scheme that he could put in place. Fabien Bartez: A surprise addition to the team of ex pros as he didnt achieve the greatest reputation in his stay in England. However, his ambitions were what convinced Dean to give him the nod, following his football background. Ex-professional football Dean Ashton sets up his own football course with the help of some other big names. With links to Norwich and West Ham United, Dean has everything in place to create some quite exciting young talent. With the help of ex Chelsea star Claude Makelele, and ex Manchester United keep Fabien Bartez, Dean then selected 7 venues across the country which would each last a period of two weeks. Manchester, Liverpool, South and North London, Birmingham, Newcastle and Oxford were all chosen as Deans selected venues. Lots and lots of talent were spotted as they went for the search of the worlds next super star. Each player had to go through a series of tests, like any pro. To pass test one, each player had to get over 85% on all of these tests, to pursue into the next round, which got harder very time. 50 contestants got to the final stage, where all of their tests would be recorded, along with their personal footage of the game at the end and was sent to West Ham and Norwich, in which the both selected ten players each. They both selected 9 different

players, but both choose 17 year old Cameron Cruickshank. What faced him was definitely unexpected. Cameron, who had sneaked through all but one of the 4 tests, just about meeting the minimum requirements, had to travel to West Ham and Norwich, to train with their Under 17s squad. He knew this was the chance of a lifetime, and potentially a career in the making. However, he didnt make the best of start with his new teammates, who judged him quickly. He didnt make the best of starts in both of his trial matches, losing possession a couple of times, and being easily shoved of the ball. He knew things had to change, and when West Ham said they didnt want him anymore, it was in Norwichs hands. The longest wait of Camerons life followed, as manager Chris Houghton took him into his office. Chris took him through the points as t what he need to improve to be able to fit in, which Cameron took on board. He gave him a lifeline, allowing Cameron a second, maybe not deserved, bite at the cherry. He worked his weights, his pace, his accuracy and his stamina as Cameron knew he didnt deserve to be given a second shot. He impressed, as a Norwich side ran out 4-1 winners against a pushover Spurs. He scored, tested the keeper on more than one occasion, and was solid, showing he has what it takes. When Chris said he was going to take him on board, Camerons first thought was to go to Dean, who had supported him throughout, but most of all, gave him this opportunity.
