DOCETIC CHRISTOLOGY

This image of Christ on the cross embodies Docetic Christology. The physical body of Jesus was an illusion for the reason than He only seemed to have a physical body and to physically die, but in reality he was incorporeal, a pure spirit, and hence could not physically die. It could be further explained as the view that, because the human body is temporary and the spirit is eternal, the crucifixion of Jesus therefore must have been an illusion. The invisible Christ was disembodied, whereas Jesus was a corporeal or bodily existence. Docetism occurs in any heresy that suggests that Christ was a being of pure spirit rather than having a corporeal body. Thus he never really "died" on the cross.

SPIRITUALIZING CHRISTOLOGY

The "tender image of Jesus" as a friend and a source of love and comfort is shown in the picture. A vital and personal relationship with the living and true God. Jesus is presented as a "people-person" when he walked among us. He is a friend for those who believe in him. Many says that He treated people he came in contact with as individuals of great worth. He looks at you and sees what you can become, not what you are. People value their friends as someone who accept them just the way they are, believed in them and encourage them. Someone who is trustworthy, who never forsakes you, who forgives your mistakes, who enjoys being with you, and who makes you laugh. Jesus wants to be this way with us. He is not a far away God. He wants us to spend time with Him. He wants to be your very best friend, and He wants you to be His! Jesus is the best of everything we look for in a friend.

TRADITIONAL CHRISTOLOGY

This image of The Nativity of Jesus is one of the examples motivated by traditional Christology. Jesus was born in Bethlehem, in Judea, to a virgin mother, Mary. It is featured in Christmas story, in which Joseph and Mary, as part of a census, travel to Bethlehem, where Jesus is born and laid in a manger. Angels proclaim him a savior for all people, and shepherds come to adore him. There were also wise men follow a star to Bethlehem to bring gifts to Jesus, born the King of the Jews. This tradition is still preserved by Christian Church particularly the Catholic faith. On the other hand, the Nativity of Jesus concerns the incarnation of Jesus in fulfillment of the divine will of God (as presented in the Gospel). The Artistic depiction of Nativity has been a major subject for Christian artists. The Nativity scene has emphasized the humility of Jesus and promoted a more tender image of him influencing the basic approaches of Christian teachings.

PROGRESSIVE CHRISTOLOGY

Living in a generation that carries on the advancement of science, technology and innovation, people wonder how effective the internet and other technological devices available to them which are fully employed by Christians. At first, people think social networking site (particularly Facebook) for them connect and share with the people in their lives, where they play games, or look at photos or snoop on their friends, but if we look at the picture of Jesus above, they use Facebook or any social networking site seriously. Depictions of Jesus in popular culture have exploded with fanatical speed with the internet. As a result of progressive Christology, Jesus is presented there as part of peoples online social network. In this regard, people are posting prayer requests to their profiles and other social networking group sites. Further, there were also some Pages or Groups that are created to share, preach and minister the teachings of Jesus, devotions, prayers, and other spiritual and religious form. From there, it has grown and grown until the present time.
