Pairs game - The individual letters are turned face down.

The player turns over a card and says the sound. Then turn another card and say the sound. If the sounds are the keep the cards, if not the cards are turned face down again and another player has a turn. Other activities - The letters can be arranged to make simple regular words. The children blend the sounds and read the word. Words that can be made with the set 1 and 2 letters: at, sat, pat, tap, sap, it, is, sit, pit, tip, pip, sip.
