PROGRAMME AIMS The Diploma in Information Technology (Programming) graduates in Polytechnics, Ministry of Higher Education will have knowledge, technical skills, and attitude to adapt themselves with new technological advancement and challenges in Programming Fields.
COURSE & CODE WEEKS CREDIT(S) PREREQUISITE(S) SYNOPSIS FP621 PROGRAMMING PROJECT 15 4 FP521 PROJECT ANALYSIS AND DESIGN PROGRAMMING PROJECT course will give students the practical experience of carrying out an independent software project from project requirements, implementation, testing to delivery and presentation of the software. Students will go through a software process with deliverables at different stages of the process. The course requires students to learn new technologies and software tools and encourage student to develop their generic skills such as developing teamwork, project management, communication skills, problem solving skills and academic writing skills. This will inculcate independent and life-long learning. COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES Upon completion of this course, students should be able to: 1. apply the continuous knowledge and efficient methods to achieve sufficient quality for the deliverables. (P5, C3, A4) 2. produce a very comprehensive presentation, technical documentation and end product for the project. (P5, A4) 3. communicate effectively within the project group and supervisor(s) to meet stated tasks and milestones. (A2, A4)

Students Registration 1.0 PROJECT PROPOSAL REVIEW / CLO1 This topic reviews the project plan and project design that has been developed in the Project Analysis and Design course. Students are required to propose a complete project development plan with the distribution of tasks for each of the team members. 2.0 DEVELOPMENT / CLO1, CLO2, CLO3 This topic covers the step of developing the project starting from designing the program coding until documenting the report of the progress development of the project.
