Sized for 6-9 (9-12, 12-15) months Dimensions Body = 19, 20, 21 inches Length = 10, 11, 12 inches Sleeve = 6, 7, 7 inches Wrist = 4 inches Materials Adriafil Knitcol Trends 50 gram, 125 meters, 100% Merino superwash: 3 balls for 6-12 months, 4 balls for 12-15 months Needles: sizes 2 and 3 or whatever is required to achieve gauge. 2 buttons, 1 inch or size desired Gauge 12 sts = 2 inches 17 rows = 2 inches NOTE: I am a big knitter, so I always have to go down a needle size to get the proper gauge when I follow a pattern. These are the size needles I used for this pattern. If you generally knit large, they will likely be perfect. However, if you are one of those blessed knitters whose gauge matches, then please take time to gauge. You may well need to use size 3 and 4 needles. 4-st RC: slip 2 sts from lh needle onto cable hook, hold in front, k 2 sts, then k 2 sts from cable hook 4-st LC: slip 2 sts from lh needle onto cable hook, hold in back, k 2 sts, then k 2 sts from cable hook Cable Pattern This pattern is meant to add just a little interest to an otherwise color-busy sweater. The cables vary. One row is a right cross, the next is left cross. Rather than stacked, they are placed in the middle of the previous cable rows 10-stitch stockinette. Row 1 (RS): 4-st right cross, k 10, 4-st right cross Rows 2-6: stockinette Row 7: K 10, 4-st left cross, k 10 Row 8-12: stockinette Back With rib needle, cast on 58 (64, 70) sts. Estab rib pat on Row 1: K2 , P2 Work 5 rws. On row 6, increase 4 sts evenly across (32 sts) Sleeve shaping: Inc 1 st ea side every 4th row 9x, then every 6th row 2x (54 sts) Row 7: With body needle on RS k all sts Row 8: P all sts Row 9 (RS): K 7, 4-st RC, k 10, 4-st RC, k 7 (32 sts) Rows 10-14: stockinette NOTE: Row 10 will be an inc (34 sts) Row 15 (RS): k 15, 4-st LC, k 15 Rows 16-20: stockinette (Will include inc row.)

NOTE: As you add sts adjust the st count on each side accordingly. The cables should not be added too close to the edge. Repeat rows 9-20 until piece measures 6 (7, 7) BO all sts Finishing Bands Right Front With smaller needles and RS facing pick up all sts along edge. Work 5 rows in rib Row 6: BO all sts Left Front Follow same pattern as right front. Row 3 add buttonholes at 6 (6, 7) and 7 (8, 8) inches from bottom. Row 6: BO all sts Collar Sew shoulder seams 3 long. With smaller needles pick up stitches around neck edge. Row 1: Follow rib pattern. At each shoulder seam, inc 3 sts as follows, k or p according to pattern, inc 1 repeat 2 times Row 2: Follow rib pattern Rows 3 and 5: Same as Row 1 Row 7: Inc 2 sts ea shoulder seam Complete ribbing for 2 inches or longer if desired. BO all sts. NOTE: The shoulder seam increases allow the collar to fan out and lay flat. You will need to adjust your ribbing so that there may be a k1, p1 instead of all k2, p2 ribbing. Finishing Sew sleeves to shoulders, side seams, and add buttons. Weave in all ends.
