La Vida Robot Movie Working With Non-Profits Albuquerque, NM-If you have always wanted to go to a casting call for a movie produced in New Mexico, heres your chance. Producers of the George Lopez movie La Vida Robot have issued a call for extras with the daily fee benefitting The American Red Cross in New Mexico and other not-for-profit organizations. The movie La Vida Robot, is offering non-profit organizations the opportunity to provide volunteer extras for scenes shooting in the Albuquerque area. The $50 per day, per volunteer, on Oct. 22, 23, 24 and Nov. 11 and 12 can benefit the Red Cross. Start times and details will be posted on www.egcalltime.blogspot.com the night before the scheduled work. Extras must be over 18 years old. Volunteers need to be available for 10 to 12 hours a day and will be provided with lunch and snacks during the day. The production company states there will be down time for study or game playing and volunteers will have lots of fun. Filming will start around 6 am and work until 6 pm. Dates will be filled first come first serve. These are the number of volunteers needed: Oct. 22: 75 volunteers; Oct. 23: 350 volunteers; Oct 24: 75 volunteers; Nov. 11 & 12: 50 volunteers. Locations are the West Mesa Aquatic Center, 6705 Fortuna Road NW Albuquerque, NM 87121 Oct 22, 23, 24 and the Sheraton Uptown, 2600 Louisiana Blvd, ABQ 87110, Nov. 11 and 12. All scenes are set in Santa Barbara, California in the summertime, so the wardrobe department is asking that volunteers bring four full outfits in pastel colors: blues, greens, yellows, and pinks for women. Women can wear sundresses, shorts, skinny jeans, summer clothes. Men can wear shorts, khakis, polo shirts, buttondowns, t-shirts, sandals, and tennis shoes.
