Professional Experience
CONTRACTOR, FRONT-END DEVELOPER, FEBRUARY 2009 - PRESENT
Turner Broadcasting, NBA Digital

Front-end developer, responsible for designing and implementing new flash products for use with
various media and communication clients, integrating new software with existing software, and support,
maintenance and documentation of flash products. Selected project highlights include:
NBA Playoffs Bracket and Tracker Widget
• Created reusable, XML-driven, bracket model class and reusable XML parser that can take
any well structured XML and convert it into a collection of objects and arrays for use in
ActionScript
• Worked closely with back-end web developers to define XML schema

SENIOR APPLICATION DEVELOPER (R&D), MARCH 2007 - JANUARY 2009

SENIOR APPLICATION DEVELOPER, JULY 2008 - JANUARY 2009

In addition to pre-existing responsibilities (see position below), created and maintained classes in
internal library, such as an OpenSocial JavaScript/ ActionScript 2 API and models for our polling,
quiz and survey applications. Also worked on larger social networking applications. Selected project
highlights include:
Polling Engine Application
• Flex-based app to allow users to create/modify polling widgets with a variety of
customizable features
• Created several easily customizable and reusable ActionScript 3 modules that can be
integrated into both future flash and flex projects
• ActionScript 2 to ActionScript 3 code migration
• worked closely with designers to determine desired user interaction

APPLICATION DEVELOPER, MARCH 2007 - JULY 2008

Developed and maintained a variety of flash-based widgets (embeddable web applications
designed to be shared between users of blogs, portals and various social networks). Created
custom reusable components for internal use. Selected project highlights include:
HD Video Player Component
• Developed custom, skinnable, scalable video player capable of playing HD (including H.
264) progressive and streaming videos, with full-screen toggle, RSS based playlist and
menu, and sizing options for optimal viewing at any embed size

FLASH APPLICATION DEVELOPER, SEPTEMBER 2005 - MARCH 2007

Morris DigitalWorks/ Morris Communications - Augusta, Georgia

Sole flash developer, responsible for designing and implementing new flash products for use with
various media and communication clients, integrating new software with existing software, and support,
maintenance and documentation of all flash products. Selected project highlights include:
SPOTTED™ V2 Photo and Video Sharing Tools
• Created resizable progressive video player with RSS playlist and pre/post ad placement
• Developed skinnable photo uploader with dynamic, paginated thumbnail preview and editing
modes (individual and batch) for tagging, description and other photo information

INTERN, SOFTWARE ENGINEER, MAY 2005 - AUGUST 2005

Boeing Design Visualization Group, Kennedy Space Center, Florida

Assisted in the research and implementation of mathematical models for predicting the effect of wind on
Shuttle liftoff trajectory. Utilized mathematical models in creating 3D simulations of Shuttle liftoff.

GRADUATE RESEARCH ASSISTANT, AUGUST 2003 - MAY 2005

University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, North Carolina

Assisted in development of a tool for the exploration and design of tracking and motion capture
systems. 3D Visualization and GUI components written in IDl to show expected performance of tracking
system design. Distributed mathematic framework (similar to extended Kalman filter) written in C/MPI.
Implemented shared memory between IDL and C with POSIX anonymous shared memory. Contributed
to published work.

RESEARCH ASSISTANT, JUNE 2002 - MAY 2003
