I use 1/6 of the width of the symbol mark it is because my logo is a little bit long so 1/6 will keep it balance and at the same time make the logo in a reasonable width

Design Concept
This logo is developed based on the logo( shown as below) in the phase I. The initial version is to long which make no sense when the width become 0.5in.

So I redesign it. Overall, my design idea is that A2LP to me is a cooperative organization: it for one hand provides education opportunity for children, for another hand, provides teaching opportunity for people like teaching. So I use puzzle to represent the cooperation idea. And in the center an adult lean close together creates an A letter further develop my design idea of cooperation. As to the typeface, I use Comic Sans MS. This style is cute and is really consistent with color palette. And also this typeface is clean enough. The color palette is from its original logo color, this four color create a feeling of fairy tale.
