Together with the Nottingham Green Partnership, we will be asking how we can secure good growth and green growth for the City through sustainable, efficient investment in order to develop a green employment future. Nottingham now has a growth strategy and One Nottingham champions Good Growth. The ON Board defined good growth as: Local jobs, skills and local procurement when ever possible Sustainable long term investments which generate long term benefits for Nottingham communities and Sustainable wherever possible investment should be low carbon usage But can this approach generate local employment and local green jobs? This forum will give us an opportunity to consider the issue. It is a chance to hear some good examples of green development in Nottingham, to consider opportunities ahead of us and a local, Nottingham way forward. The studios have become a significant feature of life for parts of the city over the last 15 years. The awards were presented at the annual Goose Fair dinner by the city's executive councillors and were hosted by Nottingham City Council and One Nottingham.
