I am a Senior at East Tennessee State University pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mass Communication with double concentrations in Public Relations and Advertising and minoring in Sport Management. After graduation, I plan to attend graduate school for Sport and Entertainment Management, Sport Administration, or Higher Education Administration. I consider myself to be energetic, passionate, dedicated, optimistic, driven, enthusiastic, and optimistic, all with a touch Southern sass and class. I bring an energy and presence that colleagues have called "highly contagious". Specialties include: event planning, project management, social media marketing/advertising, and Photoshop. With that being said, I am always working on expanding my knowledge and skill set.

Secretary of Public Relations, East Tennessee State University Student Government Association
Johnson City, TN April 2013 Present Aid and assist the President in utilizing all possible sources in promoting the university and handle all publicity for SGA. Be a liaison between SGA and the student body. Write a monthly report of SGA activities to be submitted to the student body. Aid the Secretary of External Affairs in the promotion of the On-Line Survey for the Major Campus event and in the advertising of the event. Help maintain and update the SGA website and social media websites.

ETSU Marketing Advisory Committee


Johnson City, TN April 2012 - Present Acting as a student representative to provide a student perspective about ETSU. Assisting with re-writing mission statements and goals, creating a new logo for ETSU, and overall to give ETSU a brand update while still showcasing the university's unique qualities.

Johnson City, TN Fall 2010 - Present Acting as a Preview Leader for the Preview program since Summer 2011. Connect with new students who attended Preview by having fun programs to help them get familiar with ETSU and college life general. Be available to help with anything new students might need. Acted as an Orientation Leader during First-time Freshman/Transfer & Nontraditional Student Orientations throughout the 2011 summer. Introduced new students to ETSU by getting them acquainted with the campus and campus services. Assisted in registering for fall classes. Was available for questions from students and parents.

Johnson City, TN April 2012 April 2013 Plan, implement, oversee and be responsible for the major campus event Serve as liaison officer between the Student Government and University officials and outside agencies concerning the major campus events. To act as a liaison officer between the Student Government and the Director of Student Activities. Chair the Major Semester Event Committee comprised of committee chairs in charge of ticket sales, volunteers, public relations and advertising, and crowd control. Accomplishments Led the first ever Welcome Back Concert featuring Josh Turner that had over 3000 people in attendance. Led the first ever electronic/techno concert and light show featuring Girl Talk that had over 1300 people in attendance.

Johnson City, TN May 2011 - May 2013 Acted as a Teaching Assistant during academic classes during the summer program. Taught elective (yearbook design and variety sports) during the summer program. Acted as a Resident Advisor when students were in the residence halls during the summer program. Acted as a Teaching Assistant during Monday night sessions during the school year. Taught classes about SAT/ACT prep, stress relief, and finding the right college during Monday night sessions. Be an friend and mentor overall to the students in the Upward Bound Program.
