We received many compliments throughout the afternoon Band performance. Right : David (Cornet) and MD Brian sharing a funny moment. Heather looks on, somewhat bemused! Far right : Tony Fisher from Hereford Worcester Radio; Lower Right : Spitfire fly-past during 633 Squadron music. We are booked again for next year so look out for us on the first weekend in September 2012. &

October 1st we played at a fund raising event at Cradley

Heath Baptist Church Hall as a first. The evening very much had a Prom feel to it and there was an amazing turnout from the local congregation. They have asked us back however, the distance for many players was daunting so we will have to see.....

October 14th - St Richards Hospice Last Night of the Proms concert at St Peters
Baptist church, was a resounding success again this year with Susan Black as guest singer. Her flag-dress raised wolf whistles and much cheering from the audience who joined in with very enthusiastic flag waving and singing to all the popular songs and tunes played.

On the back page is the Flyer for our Christmas Concert on December 9th, being held again in the St Georges RC Church Hall where we will be joined by Susan Black and other guest artists. We are again helping to raise money for Midlands Air Ambulance this year; our Christmas carolling collections outside Tescos, Strensham and the Camp Inn also go, in part, to this good cause.
Please come and support us and if you have anything to put into the Raffle, bring it along for the Concert on December 9th.

WELCOME to the Llewellyn family, David, Helen and older son Tom, on 2nd and 3rd cornets. We really do notice the difference! Also to Kate (Solo Tenor Horn with Peter) and Gavin Arnett (Bass) and to Annie Chaplin on 2nd Tenor Horn. Tim Allen has moved onto Repiano. Gavin Erry who covers Solo Trombone is now our Deputy Band Conductor, taking band sections for separate concentrated practice - thus preventing too many stoppages during the evening overall. Emma Francis has moved from Solo Trombone on to Solo Euphonium unless Tim Kemp can join us.

Please pass our news on to your friends and let anyone you know who may be interested that we welcome new players joining us. WCB have vacancies on the following seats:
