SW Prerequisites

Walkinside 6.1.22 requires that .NET 3.5 is installed previous the installation is done.

2.

Fresh new Installation

2.1 Welcome Dialogue

Select Just me or All User Installation

Just me The installation will only be visible for the actual user

Installation path C:\Users\MYUSER\AppData\Local\Apps\VRcontext\Walkinside 6.1 [(64bit)]\

All User The installation will be visible for all users that can login in the machine
-

This installation requires administrative rights

Installation path C:\Program Files [(x86)]\vrcontext\Walkinside 6.1 [(64 bit)]

Click Next to continue

2.2 Product Choice

Select the product youll like to install

Standard Installation Install Trial or Purchased version of Walkinside
PreViewer Installation Install the PreViewer version of Walkinside
License Server Installation Install the License Server for floating license management

Accept the EULA and click Install

2.5 Type of Installation

Standard installation Installs the Walkinside Viewer by default and is easy to configure the Builder modules
Custom Installation For advanced users

2.6 Select Converters in Standard Type Installation

Check the exporters to be installed and click Install

NOTE 1: In case the installation of any 3ds Max, MicroStation or SolidWorks version is required, the
installation needs to Run as Administrator
NOTE 2: MicroStation exporters and PDS exporter are only available for 32 bit installation.

2.7 Installation

As soon as the user clicks Install Walkinside is automatically installed in the pre-defined folder.

2.8 Installation completed

Click Finish to exit the installation

2.9 Select Modules to install in Custom Installation

Check from the list the needed modules.

If needed the user may change the location of the installation path to another location than the default one.
Click Install to proceed with the installation. (See points 1.8 and 1.9)
NOTE 1: In case the installation of any 3ds Max, MicroStation or SolidWorks version is required, the
installation needs to Run as Administrator
NOTE 2: MicroStation exporters and PDS exporter are only available for 32 bit installation.

2.12 PreViewer Installation Confirmation

Click Install to proceed with the Installation. (See point 1.18 and 1.19)

2.13 Walkinside License Server Installation Confirmation

Click Install to proceed with the Installation. (See point 1.18 and 1.19)

2.14 Cancel Installation

At any time the installation can be cancelled.

Click Finish to close this window

Upgrade Installation

3.1 Uninstall Previous Installation

Click Yes to uninstall a previous 6.1 version

Once the uninstall is done a Fresh Installation is started. (See Point 2)

Uninstall Walkinside

To Uninstall Walkinside:
- GO TO Start Menu All Programs VRcontext Walkinside 6.1 [(64)] Uninstall

NOTE: In case the uninstallation of any 3ds Max, MStation or SolidWorks version is required, the uninstallation needs to Run as Administrator

5.

License Installation

In general, each WorkStation requires having a license.

The license file must be copied in the License folder which is in the Data folder of the installation that the user may
access through the:
Start Menu All Programs VRcontext Walkinside 6.1 [(64)] License Folder

Note 1: When performing an All User installation, the license should eb copied by the administrator
installing the license before Walkinside is used by any of the final users.
Note 2: For more information about license configuration and set up see the FLEXNET LICENSE
INSTALLATION and MANAGEMENT document.
