The National Museum is a museum located on Jalan Damansara in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The museum is situated in close proximity to the Perdana Lake Gardens and it provides an overview of Malaysian history and culture. Museum Negara is a splendid structure built in the style of Rumah Gadang, an aspect of Minangkabau architecture. Its frontage comprises elements of traditional Malay and modern features. Museum Negara was opened on 31 August, 1963 and it serves as a fountain of Malaysia rich cultural and historical heritage. Museum Negara was established on the site of the former Selangor Museum. It was built by the British and Selangor governments in 1898 following the formation of the Federated Malay States in 1896. On March 10, 1945, during the end of World War II, the right wing of the museum was bombed and its collection was then moved to the Perak Museum in Taiping. The old museum structure was completed demolished to make way for a new museum. Construction began in 1959 and was complete in 1963 and it was officially opened in the same year. The national museum has served as a source for which Malaysian culture and history has been preserved. It has promoted the natural treasure and heritage of the Malaysian country as a tourism asset. It has also served as a source to collect, to research and to display the nations tradition of plant life, wildlife and environmental varieties as well as to distribute the information to the world. Museum Negara has also served as a point of reference as well as the resource center for Malaysia natural heritage, particularly for the endangered and extinct species. The Museum has attracted millions of visitors since its opening in 1963. Guests are fascinated at the entrance by the beautiful wall painting illustrating the rich Malaysian culture. This attraction is loaded with magnificent displays of costumes, weapons, arts & crafts, instruments, ceramics, plants and wildlife symbolic of Malaysia and its history whiles the outdoor exhibits include an interesting collection of old trains, cars and leftovers of years past. An estimated amount of 6,683 people visits the museum yearly.

The visit to the Malaysia national museum was a time well spent because of the reflection on how the nation hold and practice its culture from the time past till present date. It also relates the nations terrain and its natural endowment. The experience at Bursa Malaysia was educative, informative and helpful as a business student and as an aspiring entrepreneur. At Bursa Malaysia, I learnt when to invest, which one to invest and factors determining the fluctuation in stock price.
