Introduction If you don't design your own life plan, chances are you'll fall into someone else's plan. And guess what they have planned for you? Not much. -- Jim Rohn Did you have a business plan that you felt would set you apart from the rest of the crowd and introduce you to the world of entrepreneurship? Are you looking for the moment, to outshine the competition? Udyam: The Business Plan event held as a part of Enspirit the annual business summit of IIM Raipur, brings you an opportunity to compete with the best minds across the country and showcase your plan/idea to a team of esteemed judges and gain valuable insights from them. The B-plan competition shall be open to all graduate, undergraduate students and working professionals of the country. This is an effort to encourage and motivate budding entrepreneurs to crystallize new and innovative ideas, and provide a platform for them to interact with experts from industry, management, financing institutes and probable investors. Structure and Timelines Format of the event: Udyam will comprise of 3 rounds. In the first round participants are expected to submit executive summary of the B-plan in the prescribed format (mentioned in the next tab). In round-2, an industry expert will make a presentation on how to make an effective B-plan, following which shortlisted candidates are given a chance to make final changes to their Bplans. In round-3, candidates are expected to make a presentation in front of the panelists and showcase their idea.
Round 1 (Preliminary Round): Submit an executive summary of the Business plan Business plan promoting green and sustainable living will fetch extra points. Participants can also use the business model described in the article http://hbr.org/web/2013/05/why-the-lean-start-up-changes-everything/sketch-out-yourhypothesis Round 2: Fifteen shortlisted teams from the first round will be invited to submit their complete business plans. Full B-plan will be evaluated by the panel consisting of VCs, AIs and industry experts.

Round 3: Five Teams will be shortlisted for the final round. An interaction session will be organized with the judges. Through the guidance of our knowledge partners; shortlisted teams will be able to refine their business plan covering various aspects like financials, operational issues, marketing and HR strategy, contingency plans etc PPT with not more than 20 slides needs to be submitted to eminent panel of Judges at IIMRaipur campus. Business plan will be evaluated by an eminent panel of Judges at IIM-Raipur campus. This will also comprise Q-n-A with judges. The teams will be allotted 20 mins for presentation and 10 mins for Q & A. Winners and Runners up will be declared shortly after Round-3

Rules & Guidelines The event is open to all students and working professionals Each Team can comprise a maximum of 3 members Team members can be of different colleges / organizations A particular team can send more than one plan The teams should submit their executive summaries as a part of the first round Email submissions can be sent to enspirit@iimraipur.ac.in with subject as "Enspirit B-Plan 2014" Final PPTs to be presented in Round 3 should not exceed 10 slides Acceptance and rejections of business plan and executive summary of business plan are governed by rules and regulations of organizing committee.
