Thank you to everyone
who enjoyed our tremen-
dous history during Doors
Open 2009.
To those who attended
both walking tours we
express gratitude for help-
ing us do what we love and
that is "Aurora”.
Friday afternoon, as I
packed my vehicle for the
display at the Farmers
Market, I suddenly realized I
was wanting to share the
vintage postcards I had pur-
chased with my mother.
These I had bought to
share with the community.
I shared the new find
with my mother and she
was thrilled to realize I was

This letter is for
Councillor Stephen
Granger.
Your ar ticle does little
to convince me that you
are not a "crony" or "fol-
lower".
Perhaps "sycophant" is
a more applicable term.
You have not assured
me that you are an inde-
pendent thinker because
you offer nothing to sub-
stantiate this claim.
Your voting record
speaks otherwise.
As for being a leader in
your community I also
see nothing to speak to
this.
Your actions clearly
classify you as a follower,
not a leader.
When you speak of
individuals discrediting,
manipulating or sensa-
tionalizing the facts, no
matter what Phyllis
accomplishes, you have
left out what exactly she
has accomplished that
can avoid such high
scrutiny.

To the editor,
I am a recent transplant to
Aurora, although I have had
the benefit of reading The
Auroran for years, and I feel
that although I am not a huge
fan of Evelyn Buck, I cannot
sit back and not pass com-
ment on all the injustices that
are being leveled at her.
As I watched TV last
night, I was reminded of
someone else, who when he
could not get his own way, he
changed the laws or cut off
their heads.
I am sure everyone
remembers Henry VIII?

“When are you going to
do something for you?"
" Someday," I replied,
“but I am having a great
time now."
I packed up the last of
the items for the market and
Doors Open and drove
away from the area of
Temperence and Ranson
Streets.
It was not until the morn-
ing I realized I had placed
the postcards on the roof of
my vehicle and forgot (“What
a maroon" as they say in the
Bugs Bunny cartoons).
I returned just before
Doors Open on Saturday
morning to find two post-
cards and a neighbour
I need not point out
your mathematical error
regarding a "vast
majority".
It is obvious that along
with English, math is not
one of your strong suits.
I assure you that I am
very wary about the sen-
sationalism that I am
exposed to and ALWAYS
consider the political
motivation of those I am
hearing.
That, along with this
blatant ar ticle of spin is

As for our mayor's
integrity, and your own,
there is a reason that
people are suspect.
Actions speak louder
than words, but in
respect to your record I
would suggest you
refrain from both.
