Proposal eBay's Service Projects

Overview I propose a pamphlet designed to help educate eBay employees and non-employees about some of the social innovation programs eBay offers and is involved in. Specifically the research would cover; eBay Green Team eBay's wor with !abitat for !umanity eBay Give Team

I have already compiled some research on these topics in a pro"ect from a previous class #primarily bac ground information on eBay's pro"ects$. %dditional research would come in the form of interviews of employees already ta ing part of these programs& research on the eBay& and eBay-inc websites& internal eBay site as well as other credible sources. Rationale Benefits for Bus 2200 colleagues - 'otential benefits to fellow Bus (()) classmates include* +earning more about eBay as a whole. 'erforming interviews of eBay employees. The purpose of the pamphlet would be two-fold. It will educate e-isting eBay employees about opportunities in the wor place to help the community& as well as highlight what eBay does outside of the auction-based website for anybody interested. Benefits for Target Audience - I plan to use these pamphlets at the local eBay call center& and hopefully they can also be used at other locations to help spotlight& and encourage other employees into "oining some of the programs eBay offers.hile information is accessible through the companies intranet& I thin that pamphlets detailing how to get involved in these programs will help increase both awareness& and enrollment. I have personally wondered how to get more involved with

Plan and Timeframe Methodologies In order to create a pamphlet for eBay to use& we will need to first gather more information on the different programs& determine which programs to highlight. 1nce that is decided& we can write up interview 3uestions and find others who are involved in the various programs to set up interviews with them. Time Frames .ee / 4o initial research& and determine what programs to include& and which to omit #if any$. 5ormulate interview 3uestions. I will also start as ing around wor if anyone is currently involved and if they would be interested in being interviewed. ,onduct interviews& and begin research. I will be focusing my research on the eBay intranet site& as that can only be accessed from a wor computer. 1ther group members would research the eBayinc.com and ebay.com sites. 5inish research& and begin to compile it for the pamphlet. 5inish editing 'amphlet and present to the class.
