Stude nts Association December 17, 2013 Dear: We hope your summer went well and that you

are looking forward to the new semest er. Lunar New Year is slowly approaching marking the end of a great year. In res pect to this holiday and as proud members of cultural organization, the Asian St udents Association, we are excited to host the 10th annual traditional Lunar New Year Banquet. The has hosted previous Lunar New Year banquets with great success. We are well known for this annual event and would love to continue that tradition. In that r egards, we would be honored to host this enjoyable event again for all faculties , staffs, students, or just friends and families who would like to celebrate wit h us. The banquet will feature a delicious 12 course dinner, all of them traditional A frican delicacies. There will be multitude of other events for your entertainmen t. We will showcase a selection of entertainment including the Traditional Ribbo n Dance and Korean Pop Dances. There will even be an exciting traditional lion d ance performance and more surprising performances from special guests. On behalf of the Asian Students Association, we would like to thank you for your past support and we look forward to your continued support. Only with your help can this banquet be successful again. This event is expected to draw in roughly 400 guests, and will be reserving 40 tables which will seat 10 guests per table . This is a non-profit event for our organization and due to the slow economy, t he costs have increased. The goal amount that we need to reach in order to offse t the cost of the 40 tables is $16,000. The support that we would like to reque st from you is $3000. Your generous sponsorship will help cover the cost of dan ce props and costumes, live performances and DJ, souvenir gifts, raffle prizes, decoration, and advertisement expenses. We would like to be able to make this ev ent more affordable for students at the price of $30 per ticket. Individual tick ets for non-students will be sold at $35 each. Only with your help, can this eve nt be successful again. This year Lunar New Year Festival starts on Friday, January 31st, 2014 and will end Friday, February 14th, 2014. ASA has planned to host this year s Lunar New Yea r Banquet on Friday, March 28th, 2014 from 6pm- 11pm. The banquet will take plac e at Jing Fong Restaurant, which is located at 20 Elizabeth Street, 2nd Floor, N ew York, NY 10013. This year, we will once again be extending this event to the family and friends of faculty and students. Once again, we thank you for taking interest in attending and sponsoring our Lun ar New Year Banquet. We look forward to seeing you there and will work very hard so that you will have a great time.
