15 Young Graduates have Joined OSF Global Services Following a Summer Internship Program Held in July and August 2013
Bucharest, ROMANIA - DECEMBER 2013 - The local branch of the Canadian IT professional services provider OSF Global Services today announced the results of summer internships for young professionals passionate about technology. 15 young graduates have joined the company's team as full-time employees. Following rigorous interviews and selection tests, 28 candidates were selected to begin the OSF Global Services internship program that took place in July and August. The programs were dedicated to students and recent graduates, candidates who wanted to improve their technical knowledge and prepare for a future job, and people with non-technical studies, but who are passionate about programming. One of the benefits brought by the OSF Global Services internship program is the way the program was organized: the activities were conducted online, giving participants the opportunity to work and learn from home, which did not involve any financial effort on their part. As of now 15 of the 28 participants have joined the OSF team, but the recruiting process continues, leaving opportunities open for the rest of the graduates. The students were excited by the possibilities provided by the two internships. OSF Global Services offers internships that are really adapted to our needs. I discovered through this program a stimulating and dynamic work environment in which communication was excellent, even if the activities were held online. Besides, I had the chance to discover what it means to work with technologies like asp.net, HTML/CSS, javascript, and developing real applications not just school projects, said one of the participants. (USV) said, Such initiatives, like internships in private companies, are received with great interest by academic institutions. These activities are complementary to our theoretical courses, thus helping achieve a systemic approach to technical training, with positive results for the future graduates. OSF Global Services, through everything that it is achieving, can be viewed as a partner that any university needs. I say this thinking not only to their support in organizing various national and international student events, but mainly to their important feedback on graduates professional level and educational needs. The collaboration between USV and OSF Global Services is a proof of successful partnership between universities and the business environment. OSF Global Services constantly develops educational programs designed to provide students, graduates and non-technical job applicants with the basic knowledge they need in order to successfully pass through the recruiting process and become part of companys team. The local branch of the company is already in its second summer internship program; the first edition took place in 2012 when 14 out of 20 participants were offered full-time positions.
