The International Students & Scholars Office welcomes the new students to UMass Lowell (UML) and extends best
wishes to both new and continuing students for the 2009

following reflects only the non-immigrant

The Indian Student Association at UML is one of the


strongest Indian student groups in the area. Each year they
go above and beyond the terms of their club charter to
assist both new and continuing students. Our office looks
forward to working closely with them as well as with the
other international student organizations over the coming
year.

The International Students and Scholars Office is here to help you understand and comply with immigration regulations.
More importantly, we are here to assist you with cultural and academic adjustments. In addition, we offer advice on social
security, taxes,
axes, travel related questions and overall legal maintenance of your status. We hold regular informational
workshops on above topics and send out email alerts on critical deadlines or regulatory changes. Please remember to
