The global economic centre of gravity is steadily shifting eastward. By 2050, China is set to be the number one economy
in the world by GDP. China has $2 trillion in foreign cash reserves and is the world’s largest consumer of our principal
products. China Investment Corp. with $200 billion has been active recently in Canada’s resource sector.
The goal of CHINEX2009 is to provide an opportunity and venue for Chinese corporations with financial resources to
visit Canada and meet First Nations who may have natural resource development opportunities, but lack the necessary
financial resources for business development. The intent is to provide a venue for the possible matching of Chinese
investment money to First Nation development opportunities and the creation of business partnerships.
Delegations are invited from the Republic of China (Taiwan), the Peoples Republic of China, Tribes from the USA, First
Nations from Canada, the Republic of Korea (South Korea), Canadian governments and other Canadian organizations.
